– Lean beef mince 400g
– One beef oxo cube
– Worcester sauce
– Red wine
– Salt and pepper 
– Pancetta cubes
– 2 carrots
– 2 large courgettes
– 1/2 onion
– Fresh basil
– Half can tomato puree 
– 1 can chopped tomatoes

Quick Pasta Bolognese Sauce Recipe . Print. Prep time: 15 minutes. 2 Tbsp tomato paste. 1/2 cup (118ml) full bodied red wine (optional). 1 cup (236ml) whole milk (or low fat milk with a tablespoon of cream).

Method:

Begin by chopping the onion, basil and carrots and throw into a large pot with the mince, the pancetta cubes and some salt and pepper. Stir while cooking. 

Allow the mince to cook through and then add a splash of red wine and worchester sauce, the oxo cube, the tomato puree and the can of chopped tomatoes. Simmer for 30 minutes. 

Separately, either finely chop the two courgettes or spiralise them if you own a spiraliser (you can buy one in Dealz for €20). Flash fry the courgettes in some oil and salt and pepper for 2 to 3 minutes. 

Serving suggestion:

Throw some pesto on the courgetti for extra flavour and serve with the bolognese sauce. Sprinkle some Parmesan cheese on the top if you choose. Enjoy!
