Speaking to The Sun to promote his new book, The Fat-Loss Plan, £16.99, Joe explained that he finds that whole dieting method 'outdated'.

And, if you were planning on trying a juice 'cleanse' or detox this January, Joe really wouldn't recommend it either. 

'Brands get in touch and offer me silly money to promote their products,' he said. 'But I always have to think, "Do my followers really want to see me promote a juice or drink or cleansing tea-tox I don't think that's going to be good for them?"

'So why would I promote it?'

Instead, Joe prefers to focus on achieving a balanced diet.

'I don't list the calorie content of my recipes,' he said. 'Counting calories is an old-school, outdated approach to nutrition - and not all calories are equal.
