  Queen Elizabeth won't have public platinum celebration Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip have decided against having a public celebration to mark their 70th wedding anniversary next month.The royal couple will mark 70 years of marriage on November 20 - the first members of the famous family to do so - but they are not planning to hold a public event to celebrate the milestone because they are said to be content with having a "private affair".

Queen Elizabeth II seems to be fully committed to certain brands ! According to Travel and Leisure, her majesty has been traveling with the same set of luggage since her first trip with Prince Philip in 1947 right after their wedding.

According to Travel and Leisure, her majesty has been traveling with the same set of luggage since her first trip with Prince Philip in 1947 right after their wedding.

At that time, the queen purchased Globe-Trotter’s luxury luggage, and she uses it to store her suits while traveling. Globe-Trotter is known for its handcrafted classic leather cases, which were once used by Sir Winston Churchill in 1924.

In present time, Prince William and Kate Middleton also have Globe-Trotter luggage, which they use during their trips.

In July of last year, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge brought their cream Globe-Trotter luggage during their tour across Canada with Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

However, it’s also possible that some of the Globe-Trotter luggage that the queen uses today is from the more recent collections. Her luggage from 1947 may no longer be around, but she still trusts the same brand nonetheless.

The same publication noted that Queen Elizabeth’s 1947 luggage was actually designed in 1897 as part of Globe-Trotter’s original collection. At present, there’s a continuation of the luggage brand’s original collection, and it comes in various colors such as red, brown and navy blue.

Prices of Globe-Trotter luggage differ depending on the style and size. The brand’s Autumn/Winter 2017 St. John 20” trolley case in mustard color costs $1,786. The Deco 20” trolley case in ivory or navy shades is priced at $1,834.

Globe-Trotter’s Safari 20” trolley case is slightly cheaper at $1,705, while the Caviar 20” trolley case costs $2,599. The brand also offers a wide selection when it comes to their luggage, namely, extra deep suitcases, slim attachés, utility cases, vanity cases, watch cases and more.
