Victoria Beckham has categorically denied the Spice Girls will be going on a reunion tour.

Rumours swirled that the '90s girl band were planning a reunion tour after Victoria, Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton and Melanie Chisholm reunited at Geri Horner's house earlier this month (Feb18) to "explore some incredible new opportunities".

According to TMZ.com, the tour was due to kick off with dates in the U.K. before winging its way to North America.

However, Victoria has now denied the girls will take to the stage during a chat with reporters from British Vogue held at a preview of her high-end clothing brand's autumn/winter 2018 collection.

Spice Girls reunion excitement builds as Posh posts photo online Victoria Beckham has confirmed reports a Spice Girls reunion is back on after posting a shot of the group online. Fans' hopes for a get together were dashed in 2016 when Posh Spice Victoria and Sporty Spice Melanie Chisholm chose to sit out of a proposed reunion tour, leaving their three bandmates, Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, and Geri Horner, to form GEM. But Horner fell pregnant and busy Brown failed to nail down dates, while grumbling about the desire for a full reunion, which riled up Mel C and Beckham. However, it now appears all has been forgiven and Beckham, who has always been adamant she would never return as a Spice Girl, posted a shot of the quintet on Instagram on Friday (02Feb18), captioning the reunion photo: "Love my girls!!! So many kisses!!! X Exciting x." Horner also posted the snap on Instagram and added the caption: "Lovely seeing the girls #girlpower is alive and well", while Baby Spice Bunton wrote: "Great catch up with my girls! #bffs always the future is looking spicy!" Reports suggest the group is gearing up for a $70 million (£50 million) payday after agreeing to the reunion. According to Britain's The Sun newspaper, the girls' former manager Simon Fuller organised the meet-up, and has promised Victoria she won't have to sing. Instead, there are plans for appearances and performances on television projects in China, a TV talent show, and a compilation album of their greatest hits.

"I'm not going on tour. The girls aren't going on tour," she said in New York on Saturday (10Feb18).

The fashion designer posted several pictures from the reunion at Geri's house on Instagram after their meeting. And she spoke warmly of the gathering with her former bandmates in her latest chat.

"It was so great to see the girls. We had such a fun lunch. It was really, really, really lovely. I still speak to them all individually, but for us all to get together was really lovely.

"There's something so strong in the message of what the Spice Girls stood for. What is that in the future? What does that look like? We were just bouncing ideas around. Brainstorming," the 43-year-old explained, before adding, "But (fashion) is what I do."

Asked if a reboot of their film Spice World was on the cards instead, Victoria responded with a reference to the group's 1996 song Wannabe, and quipped: "Is that what you really, really want?"

Victoria Beckham: 'Spice Girls get together was all about legacy' .
Victoria Beckham has opened up about the surprise Spice Girls reunion, revealing the former bandmates' get together was all about protecting their legacy. Posh Spice shot down reports of a late summer tour and new music at New York Fashion Week earlier this month (Feb18), days after meeting up with Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, Melanie Brown, and Melanie Chisholm, insisting there was no plan to hit the road. She reiterated that at a London Fashion Week event on Tuesday (20Feb18), stating, "There is nothing tangible. It was great seeing the girls. Everybody got very excited, but there is no tour, there is no recording." Expanding on the shock get together at Geri's home, which was organised by the girl group's former manager Simon Fuller, Beckham tells WWD.com, "I think, for us, it’s about protecting the legacy, and asking how we continue the girl power message. How do we continue that, and pass it on to future generations? "We’re just looking at how we pass that message, as opposed to us going on tour or recording or doing a TV show. It’s not about that. It’s about us looking at the legacy and protecting it. And we all feel the same about that." Beckham and Chisholm refused to hit the road with their bandmates for a 20th anniversary tour last year (17), prompting their three bandmates to form a new trio, called GEM. Plans for a tour and other events to mark the 20th anniversary of the girl group's first hit fell apart when Horner announced she was pregnant. The last time the Spice Girls performed together was at the closing ceremony of the London Olympics in 2012.
