Warriors star Kevin Durant won't play inWednesday's Game 2 against the Trail Blazers in their Western Conference playoff series, coach Steve Kerr confirmed.

Golden State is being cautious with its star small forward after he strained his left calf during Game 1.

"It's not worth it," Kerr told reporters at Oracle Arena."Hopefully another few days rest will get it right."

During the regular season, Durant missed 19 games with a left knee injury. He returned for the final three games of the regular season.

The Warriors won Game 1 121-109 Sunday night. Durant scored 32 points while also hauling in10 rebounds.

Golden State also will play Game 2 without Shaun Livingston (finger)and Matt Barnes (ankle).

"We're pretty thin," Kerr said.

The Trail Blazers were swept by the Warriors in the first round of the NBA playoffs, but the team has a lot of promise for the future. There aren'tThere aren't many teams that can match Golden State's roster, but Portland could be with the addition of a few key players. The Blazers' backcourt of Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum is one of the best in the league and Jusuf Nurkic was a huge addition at the trade deadline, averaging a double-double during his time in Portland.
