West Ham set to go back in for Kone

West Ham set to go back in for Kone West Ham have been leaking a lot of goals throughout the course of the season and it’s been clear to see that defensive reinforcements are required this summer. One man that seems to have been perennially linked with a move to the London Stadium is Sunderland’s central defender Lamine Kone, and it looks as though the Hammers will make a move for him yet again this summer, according to the Mirror. Slaven Bilic looked to bring the 28-year-old to the club last summer but failed in his pursuit, with the Black Cats keen to keep hold of their prized defensive asset. However, Kone has not been in the best form this season and with Sunderland rooted to the foot of the table, he could move on if they get relegated. Jose Fonte has failed to solve West Ham’s defensive issues, so it comes as no surprise to see the club linked with bringing other centre-backs in this summer.

Matuidi in for Manchester United move

Matuidi in for Manchester United move French news outlet Le Parisien has reported that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) midfielder Blaise Matuidi is eager for a move to Manchester United this summer. The Frenchman signed in 2011 for PSG from Saint-Étienne for a reported undisclosed fee of around €7.5 million. In 2011, PSG were not the European super power that they are now, but they were beginning the process of becoming one after being purchased by the big money company Qatar Sports Investments (QSI). Matuidi was one of PSG’s first signings under the QSI regime and he has certainly proved his worth over his six seasons at the Parisian club. Since joining PSG, the 30-year-old midfield man has racked up four Ligue 1 titles, two Coupe de France titles, four Coupe de la Ligue titles, four Trophée des Champions titles, two Ligue 1 Team of the Year appearances, and one French Player of the Year award. However, Matuidi does not see himself at the Parc de Princes next season as he is finding more competition for a starting spot due to the rise of young midfield talent Adrien Rabiot, and his relationship with the Parisian hierarchy has supposedly deteriorated after the French international rejected a two-year extension to his current contract last summer. Due to his contract expiring at the end of next season, PSG have placed a relatively cheap €10 -15 million price tag on the Frenchman.

Hart will be made available for transfer by Manchester City in the summer with Pep Guardiola not fancying the four-time Golden Glove winner and deciding to sign Claudio Bravo from Barcelona, loaning Hart to Torino to make way for his arrival. It’s believed that the England international would prefer to stay in the north-west of the country with Liverpool and Everton both being linked with moves for Hart of late. The 30-year-old is available for just £15m this summer but who knows whether a player which such history with United’s rivals could ever be embraced at Old Trafford.
