(@carlolaudisa) Antonio Conte is looking for reinforcements in the wide areas, in particularly in the wing-back positions. The Chelsea head coach is now thought to be targeting the Brazilian, prioritising him over central defender Leonardo Bonucci, who had been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge. Marcos Alonso has starred in the wing-back roles during his first season at Stamford Bridge, but the Spaniard, alongside Victor Moses, were both largely unchallenged throughout the campaign. With the return of Champions League football next season, Conte will need to add both depth and quality to his squad. It’s yet to be seen whether Juventus would be willing to sell the defender, having come so close to European success this season, only to lose to Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

Chelsea have seen a club-record bid for Alex Sandro rejected by Juventus, but the Italians will not stand in his way in he wants to move.

The Daily Mail reports that the Old Lady will sanction the deal if he makes the club aware of the fact he wants to move to Stamford Bridge.

Sandro has been touted as a possible transfer target as Antonio Conte looks to add reinforcement to his back line.

The Brazilian has been a key component of Juventus’ dominance since joining the club in 2015 from Porto.

Sandro joined the Italian champions for just £26 million and the Turin club are well aware of the profit that is being made available to them in the summer transfer window.

After missing out on the Champions League with Juventus, Sandro may feel it’s time to move on with Conte setting his sights on the European competition next season.

Alex Sandro tells Juventus he wants to move to Chelsea .
Alex Sandro has informed Juventus of his desire to move to Chelsea this summer, Eurosport reports. The player has been linked with a summer move that now appears to be edging closer. The report suggests that it is now down to the two clubs to finalise a fee for the player. Juventus will reportedly demand a huge figure somewhere in the region of €70 million, which converts to just over £60 million. Sandro joined Juventus in 2015 from FC Porto and has been a mainstay in their system since his arrival. During his time in Italy, he has won two Serie A titles, two Coppa Italias and helped the Old Lady reach the Champions League final last season. Juventus are already preparing for Sandro’s departure by planning moves for AC Milan’s Mattia De Sciglio and Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian. The Italian giants now face the prospect of losing both Sandro and Dani Alves, who himself had been linked to Chelsea, but looks set to join Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
