Chelsea are interested in signing Dani Alves from Juventus, according to a report from Sky Italia.

The Brazilian full-back/winger is apparently seeking a new challenge as he comes to the end of his career and it looks like he has his eye on a move to England.

Manchester City are keen to sign him and reports suggest that he’d be happy to work under Pep Guardiola once again but it looks like Cheslea would also like to sign him.

The reported asking price for the 34-year-old is £5million which is easily affordable for both clubs so it could simply come down to  a combination of who can offer the best terms and the player’s preference.

Alves will reportedly earn £85,000 per week at City, an improvement on the £60,000 he was pocketing each week in Turin. The attacking wing-back played a key role in Juventus’ journey to the Champions League final last season.

Alves looks tailor-made for the right-wing back position in Antonio Conte’s Chelsea side so the reported interest in him makes sense but time will tell if he ends up playing at the Etihad or Stamford Bridge.

Manchester City’s hopes of signing Dani Alves this summer may have been boosted, with the Brazilian claimed to be keen on reuniting with Pep Guardiola. According to a report from the Daily Mail, Alves has set his sights on a move to the Etihad Stadium this summer as he seeks pastures new away from Juventus. Alves worked with City boss Guardiola during the pair’s tenure at Barcelona and it’s looking as though the experienced right back is keen to test his ability alongside the Spaniard in the Premier League for the first time in his illustrious career so far. Despite the excellent full-back having one more year on his current deal in Turin, it’s stated that he has not quite enjoyed his time in Italy as much as he had previously hoped for, and is keen to join City this summer. Guardiola will be keen to land a new right-back, and there are very few better around than Alves.
