Feghouli transfer to Galatasaray delayed despite agreed deal

Feghouli transfer to Galatasaray delayed despite agreed deal Sofiane Feghouli’s move from West Ham to Galatasaray has been delayed, despite a deal between the two clubs and personal terms being agreed, according to Fanatik, as cited on Sport Witness, It was reported earlier this week that Feghouli was set to travel to Turkey for a medical prior to his move to Galatasaray, however, no medical happened and Feghouli is yet to travel. The reason why the deal hasn’t happened yet is due to paperwork, even though deals between all parties have been agreed but Galatasaray are not expecting any more problems with the transfer, with their manager hoping to have him in the squad for their season opener on Monday. Feghouli wants to leave West Ham in pursuit of first-team football, which is hard to come by at the London Stadium with Michail Antonio, Andre Ayew and new signing Marko Arnautovic ahead of him in the pecking order. The fee for Feghouli is reported to be around €4.5 million, which would be profit for West Ham as they brought him in on a free transfer from Valencia last season.

The Turkish club Galatasaray has also shown interest in Feghouli and have put in a £4.5 million bid for the former Valencia player. Arsenal set to axe Puma sponsorship and join rival Adidas when £30m-a-season deal runs out in two years.

Pablo Zabaleta, Marko Arnautovic and Sead Haksabanovic have also joined Hernandez and Hart at the East London club.

Sky Sports News understands West Ham remain in talks to sign Sporting Lisbon and Portugal international midfielder William Carvalho.

They are confident they can secure a deal for Carvalho, but are hoping to pay less than his £40m release fee.

The 25-year-old, who helped Portugal win Euro 2016, is a product of the Sporting academy and has scored nine goals in 137 appearances since making his first-team debut in 2011.

Sporting have recently signed midfielder Rodrigo Battaglia as a potential replacement for Carvalho.
