Since the Jets moved to 1000-1 odds, ESPN reported the Westgate Casino in Las Vegas has taken just six bets on the Jets despite the giant odds. To say the Jets are facing long odds this season would be a massive understatement. Unprecedented is more like it. The Browns and 49ers faced the longest odds last season at just 200-1. The Bills are 200-1 odds this year, but still a far cry from the Jets.

Miami has committed 7 million to four players during the 2017 offseason . Josh Richardson became No. 4 when he and the Heat agreed to a $ 42 million contract.

42 (the number of millions Miami agreed to pay the shooting guard over four seasons beginning with 2018-19).

Richardson, who will turn 24 on Friday, joins teammate Tyler Johnson in getting paid after his second NBA season. The Heat matched the Nets' four-year, $50 million offer sheet for Johnson in 2016. That backloaded deal has $44 million remaining.

In fact, Miami has been flashing a lot of cash this offseason with Chris Bosh's contract coming off the books. Before completing its deal with Richardson, it re-signed guard Dion Waiters (four years, $52 million) and forward James Johnson (three years, $43 million) and signed free-agent center Kelly Olynyk (four years, $50 million).

Miami was also a finalist for free-agent forward Gordon Hayward, who chose to sign with the Celtics. Hayward's decision forced Boston to clear cap space, which in turn pushed Olynyk onto the open market.
