Lesnar competed at UFC 200 in 2016, but tested positive for a banned substance, resulting in a one-year suspension. That apparently turned WWE off of the idea of loaning him to the UFC while under contract.

"They didn't want to do that again," White said, per MMA Weekly. "You saw what happened last time he was under contract and it doesn't look good for anybody."

Nurmagomedov sets out his own plans for lightweight division .
Since suffering a failed weight cut ahead of his proposed interim lightweight title fight with Tony Ferguson at UFC 209 in March, Khabib Nurmagomedov has been left in 155 lbs purgatory. Speaking to Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour this Monday, however, Nurmagomedov laid out his ideas for the immediate future of the UFC’s lightweight division all the while another top contender has claimed to have signed a bout agreement to face the Russian grappler. After claiming that he has an ‘80%’ chance to fight at UFC 219 on December 30th and taking the blame for his previous setbacks, Nurmagomedov proceeded to call out the new interim champion Tony Ferguson while suggesting Conor McGregor finishes his business with Nate Diaz. “We have almost 12 weeks, 11 weeks before UFC 219,” Nurmagomedov said. “And now is the beginning a very interesting moment in my life. I hope UFC gives me a championship fight. End of the year, I want to take everything back. Attention, belts; I want to take everything. End of the year, I want to fix everything. And we’ll see what happens. But first of all, I think UFC has to make the fight, Conor versus Nate Diaz 3, and after, me and Tony. “My opinion, I think Tony Ferguson is the real champion,” Nurmagomedov continued. “I don’t think if I fight versus Tony Ferguson, this is an interim belt. Officially, yes. But people want to see me versus Tony Ferguson. I think this is a much better fight, for everything.
