Arsenal carefully monitoring Koscielny's Achilles .
Arsenal are closely monitoring Laurent Koscielny’s Achilles injury ahead of their game against Watford on Saturday, according to the Telegraph. The France international has sat out during the ongoing international break as a result of his Achilles injury reoccurring, raising fears that he will be unavailable for the Gunners’ trip to Vicarage Road on Saturday. It’s reported that Koscielny is yet to even return to full training with the team, further reinforcing that he faces a race against the clock to be fit for Arsenal’s upcoming fixtures. The Gunners are currently suffering something of a defensive crisis in terms of injuries. Koscielny appears to be once again struggling to maintain fitness, while Shkodran Mustafi is set for a spell on the sidelines. The German international suffered a thigh injury in his country’s 5-1 win over Azerbaijan on Sunday night. Koscielny isn’t definitely out of the Watford clash yet, but will need to step up his recovery in the coming days if he stands a chance of playing.
