Arsenal considering PSV winger as Alexis Sanchez replacement

Arsenal considering PSV winger as Alexis Sanchez replacement Arsenal are said to be scouting PSV Eindhoven winger Hirving Lozano, who has been linked to both Manchester United and Manchester City in the past. This is according to the Daily Mail, who claim that the Gunners’ chief scout Steve Rowley has been to the Netherlands to see the Mexican international winger in Eredivisie action, and the report claims that PSV are expected to be willing to listen to bids of around £20 million for the 22-year-old. Lozano first caught the attentions of European scouts playing for former club Pachuca in Mexico’s top flight, Liga MX. Despite being just 22 years of age, Lozano is now in his fifth season as a senior player — he made his Pachuca debut in 2013. All in all, he made 149 appearances for the Mexican outfit before swapping the American continent for Europe with PSV — but his final season in Mexico was a real barnstormer at just 21 years old. Lozano scored 18 times in 37 appearances for his side, with eight goals in eight games in continental competition as Pachuca lifted the CONCACAF Champions League trophy. The report in the Mail claims that the Mexican international would be seen as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez, who looks set to leave the club within the next year, as his contract expires at the end of the season and there are no signs that the Chilean will renew.
