Manchester City interested in Lorenzo Pellegrini

Manchester City interested in Lorenzo Pellegrini Manchester City are reportedly interested in signing Lorenzo Pellegrini from Roma. The Italian international has been in good early-season form in Serie A, and has subsequently attracted the interest of both City and Manchester United, according to the Daily Mail. Since his move from Sassuolo, Pellegrini has gone from strength to strength. He has established himself as one of Serie A’s most promising young talents, and has been consistently impressive at Roma. Eusebio Di Francesco is a huge admirer of Pellegrini and will be keen to retain his services for the foreseeable future. However, with the youngster’s contract containing a release clause of just £22m, a move to the Premier League doesn’t appear to be beyond the realms of possibility. Pellegrini is currently nursing a minor knock, which led to his withdrawal from the Italian national squad for this week’s international fixtures, but he’s sure to be a man in demand when the January transfer window rolls around.

Pochettino keen to stay at Spurs for years to come .
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is keen to stay at the club for a long, long time. As quoted by the Evening Standard, the Argentinian tactician discussed his future at the club, after Daniel Levy joked that he’d love to give Pochettino a 15-year contract in London. “I am very happy with Tottenham and I hope I stay 10 or 15 years here. If he wants me to, I would love to sign that contract.” “It is up to him. It is always up to the owner or the chairman whether you keep your position as a manager for a long or a short time. It is all about him.” Praise for Pochettino has been high from the Spurs chairman, and it looks as though the former Southampton boss would be keen to remain at the club for the foreseeable future. “I am so happy at Tottenham. I have enjoyed my time here a lot – this is a club with big potential. We are waiting for the new stadium, the facilities we be the best in Europe, and we only need time to develop in the same way, to try to build a competitive team and win a trophy.” The ex-Argentina international has been a huge hit with the Spurs fans since his arrival, and the 45-year-old has implied that he is willing to stay for as long as the club want him. “I am so happy to hear that Daniel Levy is so kind to me and is telling everyone what he expects from me.” Pochettino has led Spurs to 3rd in the Premier League after eight games this season, and he will now turn his focus towards what promises to be a blockbuster clash against Real Madrid in the Champions League group stages.
