Willian speaks out on his future at Chelsea

Willian speaks out on his future at Chelsea Willian has been a regular and consistent performer for Chelsea over the years but the Brazilian has perennially been linked with a transfer away from Stamford Bridge. Jose Mourinho managed the former Shakhtar Donetsk star at Chelsea before being sacked midway through the 2015/16 season and has been reportedly attempted to bring Willian to Manchester United on more than one occasion. With Eden Hazard a nailed on starter, Willian competes with Pedro and Cesc Fabregas for a starting role in the Chelsea side which has seen the winger left out on multiple occasions. Speaking about his time at the club, Willian states that he’s had a wonderful time at the club and he keeps growing every year. “I’ve won titles and made history at Chelsea. I’ve experienced incredible moments at one of the biggest clubs in the world.” “I think I managed to keep improving my football even during difficult periods for the team. I’ve managed to maintain a high level of performance.” “I’m very happy at Chelsea. I just try to improve year on year. And it’s been happening.” Chelsea will be without Alvaro Morata due to a hamstring injury for an extended period which could see Willian handed some more minutes.

Chelsea face back-to-back titans, starting with Atletico Madrid away in the Champions League. Antonio Conte will welcome Eden Hazard back to the starting XI , and turn to his sturdiest defence to take the bite out of Atletico’s speed.

After a frustrating 0-0 draw at home to Arsenal last weekend, Chelsea are being thrust straight back into action as they prepare to face Nottingham Forest at home to the Carabao Cup. With a busy September coming up, Antonio Conte will be forced to rotate his squad

Crystal Palace are already being cut adrift in the Premier League table as we come out of the international break.

Rooted at the bottom, seven defeats from seven and still without a goal amid a real injury crisis, the Eagles fanbase are beginning to fear the worst as Roy Hodgson struggles to turn things around at Selhurst Park.

After suffering another comprehensive defeat last time out to Manchester United, things don’t get easier for Palace as they welcome reigning champions Chelsea to South London.

Hodgson will be without Christian Benteke again, Ruben Loftus-Cheek is ineligible and Connor Wickham remains a long-term absentee, while Wilfried Zaha may not be ready to play the full 90 minutes.

Chelsea ’s title defence begins at home to Burnley on Saturday afternoon. Antonio Conte has some big decisions to make after a difficult pre-season campaign and a Community Shield defeat to penalty still fresh in his mind.

Chelsea had little time to sleep – let alone celebrate – after their win against Atletico Madrid. The starting XI has to be back at their best to handle Manchester City on Saturday. Madrid, spain – september 27

As they seek their first goals and points of the season, here’s a look at our Crystal Palace predicted XI for the game against Chelsea.

Chelsea Predicted XI vs Roma (H) .
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte faces a tricky selection on Wednesday night as his side take on Serie A outfit Roma in the UEFA Champions League. The Blues will be without trio Victor Moses, Alvaro Morata and N’Golo Kante, who are all out with hamstring injuries, as well as new signing Danny Drinkwater, who is still suffering from a calf strain which has kept him out of action since joining the club in the summer transfer window. Conte’s men go into the game against Roma off the back of a shock defeat against Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon, with Wilfried Zaha’s return being a happy one for Eagles fans as they downed champions Chelsea at Selhurst Park. Roma are a dangerous side with plenty of star quality, including the talents of Radja Nainggolan, former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko and tricky winger Stephan El Sharaawy. With injuries in key areas, Conte will need to shuffle his pack. Here’s who we think will start for Chelsea on Wednesday night… GK: Thibaut Courtois An obvious choice between the sticks. CB: Cesar Azpilicueta The Spaniard is one of the first names on the teamsheet. CB: David Luiz Reports have suggested he could move into midfield but we expect him to stay in the back three. CB: Gary Cahill The captain continues to keep Antonio Rudiger out of the starting eleven. RWB: Davide Zappacosta An injury to Victor Moses gives the Italian some time to make this spot his own.
