Leicester manager Craig Shakespeare has paid tribute to Danny Simpson ahead of a landmark appearance for the full-back.

The 30-year-old has been a first-team regular since arriving from QPR in the summer of 2014, helping the Foxes to the Premier League title in 2015/16, and is now set to make his 100th appearance for the club on Monday.

Simpson has been ever present in the Premier League this season and is odds-on to be in the line-up when West Brom visit the King Power Stadium.

And Shakespeare says the reliable Simpson remains a very valuable member of his squad.

The new bipartisan push to bring about market stabilization falls short in some key respects. The congressional proposal calls for creating “a dedicated stability fund that states can use to reduce premiums and limit losses for providing coverage—especially for those with pre-existing conditions.”

"I think for the past season-and-a-half he's been a real consistent performer," said the manager.

"He enjoys defending, and not a lot of up-and-coming full-backs enjoy the defending part these days, they enjoy the attacking aspects.

"But Danny enjoys defending.

"His positional sense and his covering is very, very good and he brings to us a real stability at right-back. If the opposition has a tricky winger, Danny will give everything, and one-on-one he is a very good defender.

"He's very knowledgeable tactically and he passes that on to the younger defenders and talks to them and encourages them.

"I remember during pre-season, him having a chat with Demarai Gray and telling him what he should be doing as a winger, telling him what full-backs don't like."

Shakespeare will also have a fully-fit Jamie Vardy available against West Brom, the striker having recovered from an ongoing hip problem during the international break.

"Jamie had injections right after the Bournemouth game and he has fully recovered now," said Shakespeare.

"He was given a bit of time away because he wasn't allowed to do anything, but he has trained fully this week and looked sharp.

"I'm really pleased to report no ill effects."
