Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic is reportedly attracting interest from the Chinese Super League.

According to a report from the Chronicle recently, the Serbian international is being courted by a number of clubs out in China, and has also been targeted by outfits in the Championship.

Mitrovic has struggled for regular game time under Rafa Benitez this season, with summer signing Joselu largely being given the nod up front.

Newcastle have been keen to land a new striker for some time now, and it’s claimed that if Mitrovic is to be allowed to leave, a replacement will need to have been signed, or be waiting in the wings.

Mitrovic appears to be behind both Joselu and Dwight Gayle in the attacking pecking order at Newcastle, and could be set for a move away in the January transfer window.
