Celtic will look bounce back from their midweek defeat in the Champions League and lift the first silverware of the season when they face Motherwell.

Brendan Rodgers’ side will look to make it a fourth consecutive domestic trophy triumph and put their 7-1 lost to PSG on Wednesday firmly behind them.

Motherwell have won four of their last six games under Stephen Robinson and will look for their first win in nearly two years against Celtic.

Roberts: Celtic are keen to land unbeaten Double Treble

Roberts: Celtic are keen to land unbeaten Double Treble After winning their first piece of silverware of the season by defeating Motherwell to win the League Cup, Celtic are on course to win a historic Double Treble of domestic trophies and do so by not losing a single game. Brendan Rodgers’ side won all three Scottish competitions last season without suffering a defeat and as we’re about to enter December, they’re on course to repeat their outstanding achievement. No team in the history of Scottish football has ever won back-to-back Trebles but Roberts says that the quality of players in the Celtic squad means that they’re more than capable of making history, but insists that everyone connected with the club will be taking things one game at a time. He said: “We have to believe and the manager believes in us. We will keep plugging away and moving on for the games. At the end of the year we can look back and hopefully we can do the same thing. You can see the quality in our side. You see the players who start and who are on the bench.” Celtic’s next game away to Motherwell on Wednesday night and The Steelmen will be keen for revenge after losing in the cup final, so Roberts and co. will need to be on their games to keep their magnificent run going.
