Celtic are interested in signing FC Astana striker Patrick Twumasi but they won’t get a free run at him, according to a report from Ghanaian outlet Kick GH.

The 23-year-old has scored 44 goals in 123 games for the Kazakhstani side and Celtic have had scouts watching him, but they aren’t the only team with an eye on him.

Stuttgart are in the market for a new striker too and they are also interested in the Ghanaian international and they are weighing up a possible move for him in January.

The Bundesliga side can not offer him European football, but with competition for places strong at Celtic, he could choose to turn down a move to Celtic Park in favour of going somewhere where he’s more likely to feature in the first team on a regular basis.
