Everton, alongside Tottenham, have joined the list of clubs keeping tabs on Hamburg starlet Jann-Fiete Arp, according to the Mirror.

Arp, a 17-year old striker, has attracted plenty of attention following his breakout season, where he became the first player born in 2000 to play and then score in the Bundesliga.

His two strikes in five starts for struggling Hamburg have come off of the back of a highly successful youth campaign last season for both club and country.

Arp scored 26 times in 21 appearances for Hamburg’s Under-17s last season, before netting seven in five for Germany at the Under-17s European Championships. He then added another five in five at the Under-17 World Cup.

Chelsea were reportedly interested in signing the young German last summer and have retained an interest after his breakthrough, with Arsenal and Manchester City also said to be keen.

Now Spurs and the Toffees have begun to track his progress too. Arp is contracted to Hamburg until 2019.

Tottenham to move for Barkley to boost top four chances .
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is ready to move for Everton’s Ross Barkley in January to boost the club’s top four chances. The Express reports that Pochettino will sanction a double swoop for both Barkley and Manchester United’s Luke Shaw in the new year. Spurs would have been hoping to challenge for the title this season but have struggled to keep up with the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United. Both Spurs and Chelsea were heavily linked with Barkley throughout the summer, but the midfielder remained with the club. Reports suggested that Barkley travelled to Chelsea to undergo a medical before changing his mind during the process. The England international is yet to feature for Everton this season as he continues his recovery. Despite his injury, interest in Barkley has not dwindled. The 24-year-old featured in a behind-closed-doors friendly last week as he works his way back to full fitness.
