  Liverpool in talks over permanent Origi move Liverpool are in negotiations with Wolfsburg over the permanent transfer of Divock Origi, according to ESPN. The 22-year old forward joined the Wolves on loan from the Reds’ last summer, and while the initial deal included no option to make the move permanent, the Bundesliga side have since confirmed that they hope to keep Origi on a long-term basis. The Belgium international’s contract at Liverool runs until 2019, and so the Reds’ could look to cash in on their asset soon. Origi has scored four goals in 15 Bundesliga outings for the Wolves so far this season. Talking after the opening round of talks with Liverpool’s sporting director Michael Edwards, Wolfsburg sporting director Olaf Rebbe said; “The people at Liverpool are merchants, no Samaritans. We will still try to exhaust our possibilities, alongside the player who feels well here.” Origi is expected to play a more central role for Wolfsburg in the second half of the season, following Mario Gomez rejoining his former club Stuttgart.

LAFC have made another big splash in the trade market, announcing Wednesday the acquisition of midfielder Benny Feilhaber from Sporting Feilhaber , 32, has been one of the league's premier playmakers since joining the New England Revolution in 2011 and moving to Sporting KC in 2013.

He joined Sporting KC in 2013, and helped the club win the MLS Cup in 2013, two U.S. Open Cup titles (2015, '17) and was a Best XI honoree in 2015. The Brazilian-born Feilhaber will be reunited with LAFC coach Bob Bradley, who formerly coached the US national team.

Los Angeles FC has acquired U.S. national team midfielder Benny Feilhaber from Sporting Kansas City, the MLS clubs announced Wednesday.

Sporting KC received $200,000 in general allocation money and $200,000 in targeted allocation money in exchange for the 32-year-old playmaker.

The UCLA product will return to Southern California and reunite with former U.S. national team coach Bob Bradley, who selected him to play in the 2010 World Cup.

"Benny and I shared some good days with the U.S. national team," Bradley said in a news release. "I am excited to work with him again. He has an attacking quality and an excellent understanding of the game."
