Mclaren broke with its recent livery tradition in 2017 after revealing a bold and striking scheme which featured orange on it for the first time since 1971.

Just like last year, rumours are now beginning to circulate of what McLaren’s 2018 challenger will look like. Zak Brown, Executive Director of the McLaren Technology Group, promises a different look for the 2018 car, along with the arrival of several new sponsors.

Brown said: “I think they are going to like what our car looks like, We’ll have some new partners on board. We’ve signed a few and we will start announcing in January, But the car won’t look like it did.”

There has also been some small indications that McLaren may go back to a scheme similar to its 2016 car, after the official McLaren twitter page briefly changed their profile picture to a fully grey McLaren logo.

This is all of course speculation and a date for the unveiling of the 2018 car is yet to be given.
