Farke refuses to be drawn on McLean links

Farke refuses to be drawn on McLean links Daniel Farke has refused to be drawn on rumours linking Norwich with a move for Aberdeen midfielder Kenny McLean, despite being aware of the talk linking the Canaries to the Scotland international. It has also been reported that the City coach has stepped up his interest in Onel Hernández of Eintracht Braunschweig, with a £1.7million enquiry taking place. Ahead of this weekend’s game against Sheffield United, Farke once again reiterated his desire for attacking reinforcements before the window closes. He said; “We are now searching for strength in our squad. It is obvious that will be offensive players. It would be good to bring two or three in, in this window and also with a view to strengthen the squad for the summer.” “We expect some decisions in the next days and by the end of January the squad will be bigger. In this window we will bring in at least two more players.” “It could also be we can sign another one for the summer. We have the opportunity now.” Meanwhile in Scotland, Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes confirmed that the club had not yet received an offer for McLean, who is being tipped to make a £500,000 move south of the border. Farke continued; “In general, we want to strengthen in the offence and in other areas for the longer term. I don’t comment on speculation or names we are linked with. Kenny McLean is a player we know, like several other players linked to us.” “When you work in this business you have to know who could be interesting for us. At the moment he is a player for Aberdeen and I fully respect this.” “I don’t want other coaches speaking about how good my players are or if they want them or not so I will not speak about players who are under contract to other clubs.” Norwich currently sit in 13th place in the Championship, but are just six points away from the play-offs.
