Eagles fans went wild following the team's first Super Bowl victory, lighting fires and causing other damage in downtown Philadelphia, but as of Monday afternoon, police had only arrested four individuals.

Police commissioner Richard Ross told Philly.com he expects that number to grow, after officials finish reviewing video, social media posts, and other evidence.

"These people are not off the hook," Ross said. "When we find out who they are, we’re going to arrest them."

According to Philly.com, other vandalism included traffic lights torn down, a looted gas station, smashed windows at Macy's, and a destroyed awning at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

Ross, who said he got hit in the head by an bottle someone had tossed in the air, defended his officers' actions, but said the sheer size of the celebration made enforcement difficult.

"I’m disappointed that some of these idiots… chose to live up to a reputation that is not deserved on the part of 98 percent of our fans," Ross said.
