Loris Karius is set to start Liverpool's Champions League clash with Sevilla on Wednesday night. Having progressed through the play-offs by beating Hoffenheim, the Reds kick off their Group E campaign on home soil by hosting the La Liga side.

Jurgen Klopp has declared that Loris Karius will start for Liverpool against Everton on Friday, with Danny Ward as sub goalkeeper. That switching is set to continue, with Klopp confirming his compatriot will be between the sticks once more.

During the group stages of the Champions League, Jurgen Klopp decided to change his goalkeepers, with then first choice Simon Mignolet making way for Loris Karius.

So, now that Karius is the new number one in the Premier League, there was a thought that Klopp might select Mignolet for Wednesday’s knockout tie with Porto but, as reported by James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo, Klopp will select his fellow countryman for the game.

The news will come as a blow to Mignolet, who would have been hoping to get some game time between now and the summer.

Jurgen Klopp is said to be considering whether to restore Loris Karius to the Liverpool starting lineup for Saturday’s clash with Spurs. This was never set to be a long-term move, however, with Klopp outlining his faith in Karius since his move to the Premier League.

Having topped their group without losing a game, Liverpool will, like every group winner, play the away leg of the tie first and if Karius can repay his manager’s faith by keeping a clean sheet, the Reds will be confident of scoring at least one goal to ensure that they return to Anfield for the second leg with a victory.

Liverpool duo Mane and Salah set for new deals .
Liverpool are planning to reward both Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah with new contracts after their fine return this season. The Mirror reports that despite Mane having three years remaining on his current deal, the Reds want to ensure they tie down Mane’s long-term future. Mane currently earns around £80,000-per-week but the new deal will see his wage rise significantly. Salah is also likely to receive a significant pay rise, despite joining in the summer. The former Chelsea winger has already scored 30 goals for the Reds in all competitions. Liverpool are cautious about losing any further attacking players after Philippe Coutinho’s £143 million move to Barcelona in January and want to protect what they have. Mane has enjoyed a fine season at Anfield but has often been overshadowed by either Salah or Roberto Firmino. However, the former Southampton man was particularly impressive in Liverpool’s rampant 5-0 away win at Porto during the week. Mane netted three goals, helping Liverpool to a huge lead ahead of their second leg with the Portuguese side.
