Arsenal line up summer move for German international

Arsenal line up summer move for German international Arsenal are eyeing up a summer move for Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno, according to reports in Germany. With Petr Cech’s performance levels dipping, it makes sense for the Gunners to be searching for a new shot-stopper and 26-year-old Leno is seemingly the man they have their eye on. Leno is under contract at Leverkusen until the end of the 2019/2020 season but his current deal has a release clause of £22m. Italian giants Napoli are also said to be interested in the German international but as it stands, neither them or Arsenal have made an official approach. The German is said to open to making a move aboard but he wants to go somewhere where he’ll be the guaranteed starting goalkeeper. At the moment, Arsenal obviously have Cech as their first-choice ‘keeper whilst Napoli have Pepe Reina. If either side is to make a move for Leno, they’ll need to offer him assurances that they will not be asking his to compete for the starting role, instead, they’ll need to make it clear that he is being brought in to replace the veteran who currently is into club’s first-choice.

Arsenal receive boost as Juventus refuse to pay £50m for top target .
According to reports in Italy, Serie A league leaders Juventus are ready to walk away from their pursuit of Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin. The Spaniard has come under fire throughout the course of the campaign for some below-par performances and a move away has been regularly touted in recent weeks. Juventus were named as one side to have taken a liking to Bellerin, but were told by Arsenal that they would have to splash a huge sum of £50m on the right-back if they are to lure him away from the Emirates this summer. Bellerin has not enjoyed a positive season so far but is still held in high esteem at Arsenal, with the club regarding him as a hugely promising young player. Juventus are seemingly of the same viewpoint, however, according to Italian news outlet Tuttosport, via talkSPORT, they are ready to cool their interest in Bellerin if Arsenal do not lower their asking price.
