Roma begin scouting replacement for Liverpool target Alisson

Roma begin scouting replacement for Liverpool target Alisson Liverpool have been linked with a move for Roma goalkeeper Alisson for a few months and despite reports in the UK suggesting that they had cooled their interest, journalists in Italy and Brazil have claimed that the Reds are still keen to sign the 25-year-old. If that is the case, their chances of signing Alisson could be increased as Roma have, according to reports in France, begun scouting his potential replacement, L’Equipe say that the Serie A giants are keeping a close eye on Toulouse’s Alban Lafont. The 19-year-old is seen as one of Europe’s brightest goalkeeping talents and Roma are said to be interested in signing him this summer. It’s unlikely that they’d spend what would likely have to be a sizeable fee to get Lafont without selling Alisson first, although it’s not just Liverpool being linked with the Brazilian number one. Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid are all reportedly interest in him, although a move to Liverpool is said to be his preferred option.

Atletico Madrid join Liverpool in Alisson race .
Atletico Madrid have joined Liverpool in the race to sign Roma goalkeeper Alisson. According to Mundo Deportivo, via TeamTalk, Atletico Madrid are eyeing up a potential move to sign Alisson this summer if Jan Oblak leaves the Spanish side. Chelsea and Arsenal are both said to be interested in Oblak, who has a release clause of £88m. Alisson, meanwhile, is thought to be valued in that top-end bracket, with Roma valuing him at €80m. Real Madrid have previously been linked with Alisson, but Liverpool have launched a £70m move to sign the shot-stopper. The Brazil international has been in sensational form for Roma in the Serie A this season and looks set for a big move this summer. Liverpool will have to stave off interest from the two Madrid giants if they want to stand a chance at landing Alisson when the transfer window opens at the end of the season.
