Arsenal refusing to up their offer to sign midfielder amid Juventus interest

Arsenal refusing to up their offer to sign midfielder amid Juventus interest Arsenal are reportedly not going to offer Jack Wilshere a contract where he does not receive a pay cut, which the English midfielder is reluctant to sign, according to The Telegraph. Wilshere is currently on £110,000 per week, but his contract runs out in the summer and so will be a free agent at the end of this current season unless he signs on. Arsene Wenger has said that discussions about Wilshere’s contract would start in early December, but there has still been no conclusion, as he has only offered Wilshere £90,000 per week, a £20,000 pay cut. Wilshere wishes to stay at the Emirates as an Arsenal fan, and a fan favourite, but does not wish to sign if it means he will get a pay cut. Italian giants Juventus and AC Milan are reportedly interested in signing Wilshere in the summer, but the midfielder wishes to remain in the Premier League, with Everton the only English club showing any interest. It is believed that because of the high wages of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Mesut Ozil, who is now Arsenal’s highest paid player in history on £350,000 per week, that Wilshere does not wish to take a pay cut. Arsene Wenger said recently (via The Telegraph): “Jack will be free at the end of the season. We make a proposal. I want him to stay and be linked to the club for the future and I hope he will do it.

Liverpool confident of securing Jorginho this summer .
Liverpool are confident of of beating Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester United to the signing of Napoli midfielder Jorginho, according to a report in the Mirror. The Reds are looking to add another midfielder in the summer as Emre Can looks certain to be leaving the club, and Jorginho seems to be their number one target. According to the report, the Reds will be favourites to get a deal for the Italian international over the line, even if Arsenal and Man United enter the fray, although and interest from Spain could complicate matters as the Brazilian-born midfielder would like to play for either Barcelona or Real Madrid at some point in his career. Napoli will be looking for upwards of £50m for Jorginho but Liverpool have the ability to spend that type of cash if they deem a player to be worth that amount. If the Italian international does arrive at Anfield, he’ll be battling captain Jordan Henderson for a place in the side and he will be favourite to come out on top in that particular duel.
