Celtic full-back Kieran Tierney is adamant that his side must prepatre for every game the right way to remain focused as they close in on another league title and possible back-to-back trebles.

Speaking in this week’s Celtic View, Tierney has revealed that each remaining game this season will be treated with great importance and gave an insight into his prematch routine.

“Before a big game I still go out and play pool or snooker with my friends or play the PlayStation with them, just the normal stuff really.”

“If you think about it too much and change your routines, you don’t feel as comfortable. You need to surround yourself with friends and people who make you feel positive so you’re not over-thinking it. When I’m out with my friends I’m having a laugh with them and we don’t talk about football an awful lot.”

Five Celtic players called up to Scotland squad

Five Celtic players called up to Scotland squad New Scotland manager Alex McLeish has named five Celtic players in his squad to face Costa Rica and Hungary in friendly games later this month. Kieran Tierney, Stuart Armstrong, James Forrest and Calum McGregor have all been included in the squad, as has Ryan Christie, who is on loan at Aberdeen from the Scottish champions. McLeish is looking for a new captain following Scott Brown’s retirement, and there is talk that Tierney could get the nod ahead of the likes of Charlie Mulgrew, Grant Hanley and Tom Cairney. Scotland squad in full: Goalkeepers: Jordan Archer (Millwall), Alan McGregor (Hull), Jon McLaughlin (Hearts) Defenders: Barry Douglas (Wolves), Grant Hanley (Norwich), Russell Martin (Rangers), Scott McKenna (Aberdeen), Charlie Mulgrew (Blackburn), Callum Paterson (Cardiff), Andy Robertson (Liverpool), Kieran Tierney (Celtic) Midfielders: Stuart Armstrong (Celtic), Tom Cairney (Fulham), James Forrest (Celtic), Ryan Fraser (Aberdeen), Kevin McDonald (Fulham), Dylan McGeouch (Hibernian), John McGinn (Hibernian). The season 2 finale finally revealed the two-year-long mystery about which character had run over Scott — a drunk Helen was driving with Noah in the passenger seat, while Alison (Ruth Wilson) was arguing with Scott and pushed him into the road. For that reason, Tierney says everyone will be

“Obviously Celtic is our topic and I like talking about Celtic as well because we all love the club, but we’re all on the same level and just get on with it really. It’s good to chill out and talk about other stuff sometimes and that can help you be mentally refreshed when you come into the games.”

His teammates showed great focus and character to beat their Glasgow rivals on Sunday, with 10 men for a large part of the game, to move nine clear as they all but ended the title race.

Celtic will meet their city rivals again in April for the Scottish Cup semi final at Hampden and will be keen to reach yet another final under Brendan Rodgers.

The treble-chasers have a hectic final run in to the season and will look to wrap up the league as quickly as possible in some tough games after the league split.

Jose Mourinho wants £50mill Raphael Varane .
Jose Mourinho is keen to strengthen his defensive options for next season, and Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane is reportedly a potential buy for Man United. Eric Bailly, who is undeniably United’s best central defender has had to deal with many injury problems this season, and Marcos Rojo has been in a similar position. Whereas Phil Jones and Chris Smalling have played in the majority of games this season, but have been the victims of heavy criticism, particularly Smalling. Victor Lindelof, who has also been on the end of criticism, has had his injury problems this season too After falling way behind neighbours Manchester City in the race for the title, some things have to change next season. Many believe the style of play has to be adapted into one that is much more attacking, but this is up for debate. What isn’t up for much debate is the attitude in certain games needs to change and the defending has to be better. Varane has made 27 appearances this season, but certainly isn’t sen as indespesible in Madrid. Both Jose Mourinho (at Chelsea) and Sir Alex Ferguson have attempted to sign Varane in the past, with neither being successful. Jose is reportedly ready to make a fresh bid though, one of £40 million, although Madrid are apparently seeking £50million.
