Agent claims Newcastle want to land Russian international midfielder

Agent claims Newcastle want to land Russian international midfielder Football agent Alexander Manyakov has said that Russian midfielder Aleksandr Golovin has attracted interest from Newcastle United, as translated and reported by Sport Witness. He has been linked with a number of clubs in the Premier League, with Southampton also said to be interested in the player following his fine displays throughout the course of the season. The agent spoke about the player possibly leaving CSKA Moscow at the end of the season in a recent interview: “He needs to leave. As far as I know, there are offers from Premier League clubs but not from the top six. I know that Southampton and Newcastle are showing an interest but he has a contract with CSKA.” The player is set to feature at the World Cup in his homeland and this could further his chances of a move to the Premier League, with the likes of Arsenal and Brighton have already been cited with interest in previous months. Newcastle would appear to have a greater chance of recruiting Golovin in the summer, with Southampton currently attempting to keep their heads above water in the ongoing Premier League relegation battle.

Newcastle Linked With Summer Move For England Defender. But there is news coming out of London that Newcastle will make a move in the summer for the 10 times capped England International full-back, if we can avoid the drop under Rafa Benitez.

Newcastle United are interested in signing defender Craig Dawson and striker Fernando Torres as they look to build their squad ahead of next season, according to Chronicle Live.

West Brom have been relegated to the Championship which has opened the door for Newcastle to make a move for Dawson, but it’s thought it will take £15 million to land the player.

Although his side have largely struggled this season, Dawson has impressed, making 31 appearances scoring two goals in that time.

Dawson has two years left to run on his current deal and doesn’t have a release clause in his deal, which means that it may prove tough to get this one over the line.

Newcastle considering move for England international

Newcastle considering move for England international Newcastle will consider a move for Southampton defender Ryan Bertrand if the Saints are relegated this season, according to the Express. Bertrand’s departure is likely to happen regardless of where Saints play their football, with a number of sides showing a keen interest in the player. He has, for a large part of the season, been the Saints captain with regular skipper Steven Davis sidelined with a frustrating injury since January. Newcastle are looking to strengthen their side in the summer and see Bertrand as a potential marquee signing at the end of the season. He is also set to be a starter for England at the World Cup this summer and will be looking to put in three strong performances to cement his place in the side. Newcastle have already secured their Premier League status ahead of next season and will want to kick on next term.

Newcastle and Huddersfield fighting to sign Kosovo international .
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Newcastle United are among a host of clubs to have expressed an interest in signing Kosovo international Donis Avdijaj. FC Schalke 04 are claimed to be ready to cut their losses with the playmaker, who has failed to live up to his early potential during his days in the youth system. Avdijaj is only 21-years-old at the moment but it appears as though Schalke have lost patience with the player and are willing to allow him to seek pastures new. The attacking midfielder could be available for a fee as low as £2.5 million, which is certainly an affordable sum for Newcastle. Avdijaj has only one year remaining on his current deal at Schalke, with Domenico Tedesco’s side now looking to cash in on the player following his lack of development in recent seasons. Schalke finished the Bundesliga in 2nd place and evidently deem the midfielder surplus to their requirements going forward. Newcastle are joined by Everton and Huddersfield Town in their apparent interest in Avdijaj.
