AC Milan chief Massimiliano Mirabelli recently said Donnarumma may be allowed to leave.

“We must protect Donnarumma and we’ll protect him to the end.”

He told Mediaset Premium.

“After that, as with all the other players, we’ll see what happens. He is part of the club’s heritage and we wouldn’t let go of him easily, unless of course someone values him the way he must be valued. If a good enough offer arrived, any of our players could be sold. There are far richer clubs out there and we have to choose other paths. Let’s not kid ourselves that we can return to being the Serie A of the past that attracted so many champions. We never will attract them. It’ll be very difficult.”

Liverpool put off by Milan's asking price for Donnarumma .
Liverpool have reportedly cooled their interest in AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma after discovering the Italian’s valuation. The Reds are understood by many outlets to be on the lookout for a new goalkeeper this summer and it was believed that Donnarumma was a target for the club ahead of next season. However, it seems they have been forced to look elsewhere, with Calciomercato claiming that Liverpool have been put off by Milan’s asking price for their young shot-stopper. Footballing super-agent Mino Raiola was reportedly orchestrating Donnarumma’s potential move to Anfield but with Milan valuing the goalkeeper between €50-60 million, as per the report, Liverpool are no longer keen. Donnarumma has established himself as one of Serie A’s best goalkeepers in recent years after securing his place in the starting line-up at San Siro. Loris Karius has been impressive for Liverpool this season but with Simon Mignolet widely expected to depart, it seems another goalkeeping addition is on the agenda for the Reds.
