Chelsea ready to meet release clause of Benjamin Henrichs

Chelsea ready to meet release clause of Benjamin Henrichs Chelsea are ready to meet the release clause of Benjamin Henrichs, according to reports. The 21-year-old defender’s contract with Bayer Leverkusen apparently has a £31million release clause built into it and it appears that Chelsea are happy to meet that amount. Henrichs can play in any position across the back four, and he’s also able to play in midfield too, so his versatility could prove vital for Chelsea if they do decide to meet his release clause. Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham were all interested in the defender last summer but he turned them all down and signed a new contract with Leverkusen. However, the player and his agent made sure that the deal had the £31million clause included before he put pen to paper so he’d still get to make a choice about his future if a top side came in for him. It now looks like he’ll get to make that decision this summer as Chelsea look set to splash the cash in order to sign the German international.

The Telegraph reported in February that Benitez is one of the names that the West Ham board have their eye on, and the Chronicle is now suggesting that the Spaniard has a £6 million release clause in his contract that is set to expire at the end of next season at St James' Park.

Newcastle United boss Rafa Benitez is West Ham United’ s top target if, as expected, they part company from David Moyes. The Hammers are ready to offer him a sizeable budget and pay his £6million release clause , but it is believed they would struggle to match the personal terms he

The Hammers are stepping up their pursuit of a new permanent first-team manager following the confirmation that David Moyes’ contract at the club would not be extended.

A number of bosses have already been linked with the vacant managerial post at the London Stadium and if the Guardian are to be believed, strong consideration is being given to a swoop for Benitez.

Newcastle ready to break club transfer record this summer

Newcastle ready to break club transfer record this summer Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez says he is ready to break the club’s transfer record as he pursues a 15 goal per-season forward. The Independent report that Benitez was forced to spend little when he was looking for a striker last summer, with the club eventually paying just £5million for Stoke frontman Joselu. He said: “If you want to bring a striker with a guarantee of more than 10-15 goals per season, you have to pay money for him for sure.” The Spaniard is currently in talks with the club to extend his stay at St James’ Park as he prepares to enter the final year of his existing contract. Assurances over what he will be given to spend and his freedom to do so are a key part of the ongoing discussions. Benitez has insisted that he has no problem working to a budget and would only break the club record if its necessary. “I was always concerned and taking care of the numbers. I was learning in England to work with a business plan, you have to have a realistic business plan and then if you know that, you have to work on that. Does that mean you have to break the record? If it is necessary, you can do it. But if it’s not necessary, it’s just to be sure you have the funds to compete.

LIVERPOOL are ready to pay Andriy Yarmolenko' s £14.5m release clause , according to reports in Italy. They say Brendan Rodgers has a strong interest in the Dynamo Kiev winger and is willing to pay his £14.5million (€20m) clause .

Rafa wants to stay with Newcastle but needs promises .
Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez wants to remain with the club, but needs assurances over his transfer budget, reports the Telegraph. West Ham are expected to make an approach for him to become their new manager, saying they are close to appointing a high-profile manager. There is a £6 million release clause in the Spaniard’s contract, with the Hammers appearing willing to pay it for someone who has the knowledge and success Benitez has under his belt. However, no agreement has yet been reached and Benitez would be keen to remain on Tyneside. Fans love Rafa as manager and see the club only improving with him in charge, but he wants the money to facilitate such progress. Newcastle had the seventh lowest net spend in the Premier League this season, by far the lowest of the promoted clubs. Mike Ashley has promised the 58-year-old he can have any money the club makes, but Premier League money does not reach the clubs until the end of July and the window closes in early August. Moving to West Ham would see him guaranteed funds, as they showed they aren’t afraid to spend, signing forwards Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez last summer.
