Charlie Musonda's loan at Celtic set to be cut short

Charlie Musonda's loan at Celtic set to be cut short Charlie Musonda looks set to return to Stamford Bridge after a less than desirable loan run with Celtic. The 21 year old has only managed just three starts this season, making only eight apperances in total, for the Scottish champions. As reported by Goal, Musonda will be recalled by Chelsea at the end of the season, cutting short an 18-month loan deal which, was only agreed last January. Musonda is currently in London with Chelsea’s medical team, receiving treatment for a shoulder problem. Celtic were able to obtain Musonda’s signature despite a hotly contested race for the 21 year old, with no shortage of interest from around Europe’s top leagues. Celtic manager Brendan Rogers recently confirmed that Musonda had gone back to Chelsea for treatment on a shoulder issue, but it appears that he could end up staying with his parent club. “Charly hurt his shoulder in the week when he was away. He has gone back to Chelsea to get treatment on that. So like I say, he may or may not feature between now and the end of the season. But he is obviously a Chelsea player so they want to look at him to make sure he is okay.” However, Musonda’s mother took to social media to claim that her son was ‘back for good’ in London and it looks like a matter of time before the news of the loan being cancelled is made official.

Celtic sign Bain on four-year deal

Celtic sign Bain on four-year deal Celtic have officially announced that goalkeeper Scott Bain has signed a four-year deal at the club. The 26-year-old was brought in on an initial loan deal to the Hoops in January when the squad was short of goalkeepers who were match fit, though a string of solid performances have clearly convinced Brendan Rodgers he’s worthy of a permanent deal. Twitter: Scott Bain to remain! The goalkeeper has agreed a four-year deal with #CelticFC. (@CelticFC) The former Dundee man made his Celtic debut against Rangers at Ibrox at the beginning of March, and he put in a good performance in what ended as a 3-2 win. Across his six appearances for the Bhoys, he has conceded just four goals. With Craig Gordon still holding down number one spot, it’s likely that Bain will be in and out of the team next season. However, he has shown how capable he is of being the champions’ number one if called upon.

Australian playmaker Tomas Rogic will discuss personal terms with Scottish soccer club Celtic after the former European champions agreed a deal with the Central Coast Mariners for the 20- year -old's transfer.

Celtic will have to break transfer record to sign Edouard .
Celtic have been given a deadline of May 31 to sign PSG player Odsonne Edouard on a permanent deal. He has been a brilliant addition since signing on loan at the start of the season and the Daily Record are reporting that the deal is looking likely now. If they are to agree on a deal for the striker then the champions will have to break their own transfer record and pay £10 million to finalise the transfer. Talks have already begun between the club and the Frenchman’s agent. The 20-year-old scored 11 goals in 28 appearances, including the winner against Rangers in an Old Firm classic which ended 3-2 to Celtic. He hinted towards staying at the club with a post on Instagram where he spoke about the club and said it was “the beginning of a long story”. Edouard missed out playing in the Scottish Cup final on Saturday through injury, but was nonetheless a key part of the treble-winning squad.
