West Ham are keeping an eye on Barcelona midfielder Rafinha

West Ham are keeping an eye on Barcelona midfielder Rafinha According to a report from Spanish news outlet Sport, a West Ham official flew over to Barcelona a couple of days ago to enquire about securing Rafinha’s services. The talented 25-year-old midfielder came through Barcelona’s academy and has made just under 50 appearances for the Catalan-based club. However, it seems that he is now surplus to requirements and the club are now willing to cash in on him this summer. The Brazilian spent the second half of last season on loan at Inter Milan, who were then given the option of signing the midfielder permanently for €35 million. However, the Milan-based club are a bit strapped for cash at the moment, so are unwilling to fork out that much money for his services. Rafinha is now back at his parent club and his future remains uncertain. It’s thought that he’d like to return to Inter, but Barcelona are unwilling to budge on their asking price. Talks with the West Ham official reportedly went well and they were interested in the conditions that the Barcelona board put forward. However, they’ll have to wait and see how the upcoming negotiations with Inter turn out. If nothing materialises, West Ham can evidently pounce and acquire the services of a very talented midfielder.

Mundo Deportivo report that West Ham are set to agree a deal with Barcelona for defender Marlon Santos after days of speculation, with a five-year contract prepared for the Brazilian.

West Ham are reportedly looking to renegotiate their existing offer to sign Marlon Santos from Barcelona this summer.

It’s claimed by Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo that after offering a sum of €15 million for the central defender, the Hammers are keen to hold further talks with Barcelona over a potentially lower price.

The Catalan giants have set a €25 million price tag for Marlon, according to the report from Mundo Deportivo, but West Ham are evidently looking to spend significantly less than this.

Manuel Pellegrini wants to sign more defensive quality this summer and has begun strengthening his back-line, with the addition of Ryan Fredericks from Fulham confirmed earlier this month.

West Ham step up approach for former Inter loanee Rafinha

West Ham step up approach for former Inter loanee Rafinha West Ham are stepping up their interest in Barcelona midfielder Rafinha Alcântara, according to sources in Italy. The 25-year old Brazilian midfielder, known simply as Rafinha, spent last season on loan with Inter Milan in Italy’s Serie A, and despite the Nerazzurri’s desire to sign the midfielder permanently, West Ham may have a temporary advantage. That is according to FC Inter News, who claim that for budgetary reasons, Inter are being prevented from making a move just yet, which has alerted the attention of English clubs to make a move. West Ham and fellow London outfit Arsenal are believed to have made contact with Barcelona over striking a potential deal, and although Rafinha would prefer to re-sign for Inter, he isn’t willing to hold out too long if they can’t make a move. Rafinha made 17 Serie A appearances for Inter this season, scoring twice and assisting three goals in the process as the club finished fourth ahead of Lazio and city rivals AC Milan.

West Ham United are in talks to sign the Barcelona defender Marlon Santos. The highly-rated centre-back is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Hammers once the deal is finalised.

Marlon spent last season on loan at OGC Nice in France and turned in some impressive displays, with West Ham’s interest evidently being piqued.

Discussions between West Ham and Barcelona appeared to be progressing well but it seems, following new claims from Spain, there is still some work to be done if the Hammers are to get a deal over the line.

Arsenal exploring deal for Barcelona forward .
Arsenal are exploring the possibility of signing Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele. According to Football London, Arsenal are interested in signing Dembele this summer. The report claims that Arsenal are keen on a loan deal for Dembele, rather than a permanent one. However, Football London also claim that a deal is highly unlikely at this moment in time. Barcelona are looking to keep hold of Dembele next season and give him a chance to push on after a difficult first season in Spain. Dembele is currently away at the World Cup in Russia with France, where he started their opening a game against Australia. France won 2-1, although Dembele was unable to get himself on the scoresheet. The 21-year-old joined Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund last summer for a fee in the region of €145m, but was only able to score four goals in 23 appearances for the Spanish outfit.
