West Ham have €38m offer for Anderson knocked back

West Ham have €38m offer for Anderson knocked back West Ham United have reportedly had a €38m offer for Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson rejected by the Italian club. Sport Witness cite Gazzetta dello Sport in reporting that Lazio will not consider offers below €50m for the 25-year-old. Anderson joined Lazio from boyhood club Santos in 2013, and scored eight goals and provided 10 assists across 32 games for the club last season. The Brazilian operates on the right side of the pitch and is known for his pace and trickery on the ball. Anderson reportedly endured a turbulent relationship with manager Simone Inzaghi throughout the campaign and is willing to consider a move abroad. Lazio could be forced to sell the winger or fellow star player Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who is reportedly a target for Manchester United, to improve cash flow having missed out on the Champions League. Another factor is that Santos would be owed 25% of any profit Lazio make on the player, who cost just €8m five years ago. Club bosses are therefore likely to hold out until later in the summer before making any decisions in order to squeeze more money from the deal. Premier League rivals Southampton and Leicester City have also been linked with a move for the Brazilian in recent times. New Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini will expect a considerable war chest to spend on new players having agreed a £10m-a-year deal to take charge at the London Stadium.

Liverpool are keen to sign a goalkeeper to replace Loris Karius this summer, but have already pulled out of signing Jan Oblak and Alisson – due to their extortionate price tags.

The 23-year-old impressed for Lazio last season, as he forced his way into the first-team.

Liverpool set their sights on Thomas Strakosha

Liverpool set their sights on Thomas Strakosha With Liverpool’s efforts to sign Alisson from Roma likely to be of no avail, it seems they are turning their attention elsewhere as they go in search of a new goalkeeper. The Reds want to sign Alisson this summer but it seems Roma are determined to retain his services, throwing Liverpool’s chances into doubt. However, fresh reports from Italy indicate that the Reds are wasting no time in their hunt for a new number one, with Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha the latest name to be linked. According to claims from Il Messaggero, as cited in a report from Calciomercato, Liverpool are ready to raid Lazio this summer as they bid to replace Loris Karius with Strakosha. The 23-year-old was a mainstay between the sticks for Simone Inzaghi’s side last term, making 38 appearances in Serie A. His displays in Italy earned him plenty of praise, as he contributed to a strong campaign for Lazio. Strakosha is also an established international for his native Albania.

Burak Yilmaz was originally a target for Liverpool and Arsenal. Luis Suarez looks like he will be staying at Anfield for now. Burak Yilmaz set for Lazio move. Yilmaz is thought to be valued at £20m, but reports in Turkey suggest that his price tag is much lower than that- £12.8m.

Liverpool handed Strakosha transfer boost .
Liverpool have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Thomas Strakosha, with Lazio set to sign his replacement. The Italian side a reportedly close to signing Olympiakos’ veteran goalkeeper Silvio Proto, with the Belgian joining Lazio on a permanent deal according to Calcio Mercato. This opens up a potential switch for Strakosha, with a €30 million price tag being put on the Albanian. Liverpool are reportedly not keen on signing Allisson, with the Brazilian’s asking price being set very high by Roma, with Lazio’s rivals demanding over €70 million for the goalkeeper. Gianluigi Donnarumma also has about the same asking price, putting Liverpool out of the race to sign the Italian. Therefore, a deal from Strakosha would be beneficial for the reds, meaning they can finally get a new keeper in and not have to break the back to sign him. Liverpool are not the only ones interested in the Albanian however, with Bayer Leverkusen looking to replace the recently departed Bernd Leno with the Lazio keeper.
