Chelsea agree €60m deal to sign Higuain

Chelsea agree €60m deal to sign Higuain Chelsea and Juventus have reportedly agreed a €60 million fee in a deal for Gonzalo Higuain. Reports in Italy from Sport Mediaset, as cited on the Metro, claim that the deal would be pending the arrival of Maurizio Sarri, who is expected to replace Antonio Conte in the coming days. Higuain has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge since the summer window opened, as Chelsea go in search of a replacement for Alvaro Morata. The latter struggled during his first season in London and is said to be keen on a move back to Italy. Juventus themselves are ready to sell Higuain this summer and could move for Morata if the price is right. Sarri is a huge fan of Higuain and the pair worked well together during their time in Naples. The Old Lady have also been linked with an eye-catching €100 million move for Cristiano Ronaldo in recent days, but it is yet to be seen how Higuain’s future will affect that.

But Juventus reckon they can raise the funds to snap up the 33-year-old. Cristiano Ronaldo has been linked with a huge move to Juventus – but where would he fit in? Juve selling Higuain would also free up a spot in Max Allegri’s XI for Ronaldo to come in and play alongside striker Paulo Dybala .

Any move would eclipse Juventus ' record transfer fee of 90m euros (£79m), which they paid for Argentina forward Gonzalo Higuain in 2016. Su EMRE CAN, SUAREZ e DYBALA " 7 Things That Will Happen If Ronaldo Joins Juventus - Продолжительность: 3:02 BlameFootball 433

Juventus have reportedly decided to cash in on both Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala in a bid to raise funds to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.

Tancredi Palmeri claims that the Old Lady will sell both players this summer to raise funds for Ronaldo, who continues to be linked with a €100 million move to Turin.

Higuain has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea, with some reports going as far as suggesting a €60 million fee has been agreed between both clubs.

The former Real Madrid striker is due to turn 31 in December and Juventus may feel they may never get a better chance to cash in on the player.

Liverpool ask about Paulo Dybala

Liverpool ask about Paulo Dybala Liverpool have reportedly asked about Juventus star Paulo Dybala, amid rumours of a Juve switch for Cristiano Ronaldo. Rumour has been rampant since yesterday, claiming that the Serie A champions are closing in on an £88million deal for Real Madrid star Ronaldo. While that deal edges closer to completion, reportedly, the Reds have enquired about Dybala, who fears that his position could be in doubt in Turin. That is according to FootballItalia, citing Tuttomercatoweb, who state that at this stage it is just a question being asked. While a deal does seem unlikely, with Dybala considered one of the biggest talents in world football, the Argentinian hasn’t had a stellar year, at least not by his standards. Despite scoring 22 goals in 33 Serie A appearances last season, Dybala struggled for minutes at this summer’s World Cup, only playing a part as a substitute. Still, if Liverpool could pull off a deal for the 24-year old, it would cement their position as a Premier League title threatening side.

Dybala has been considered as the future of the club for some time and is seen as someone who can be the next Alessandro Del Piero figure in Turin.

Higuain agrees to Chelsea move .
Gonzalo Higuain has reportedly agreed to join Chelsea this summer, according to reports in Italy. Calcio Mercato reports that the striker has accepted that he will leave Juventus following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo. The report claims that the striker has informed his brother Nicolas, who is also his agent, that he is ready to accept a move to Chelsea subject to agreeing personal terms. A deal is far from complete with Higuain keen to ensure his deal would match that of his Juventus contract. The Old Lady are reportedly asking for €55 million for the striker this summer, with Chelsea the only club believed to be in the running. The forward worked with Maurizio Sarri, who is expected to take over at Stamford Bridge imminently, at Napoli and the pair have a strong relationship. Should Higuain join Chelsea this summer, his arrival is likely to cast an end to Alvaro Morata’s time at the club with a move back to Italy looking likely.
