Harry Wilson signs new Liverpool contract .
Liverpool forward Harry Wilson has signed a second new contract in six months after the Reds decided to give him an improved deal after his impressive performances whilst on loan with Hull City at the end of last season. As reported by the official Liverpool website, Wilson, who only signed a new contract with Liverpool before joining the Tigers on loan, has put pen-to-paper on a long-term deal with improved terms as a reward for his development. The Welshman is keen to impress Jurgen Klopp during pre-season to earn himself a place in the Liverpool squad for the upcoming campaign and with some of the Reds established stars still away due to their World Cup exploits, Wilson has every chance to catch the manager’s eye. Earlier this week, Liverpool rejected another loan approach from Celtic at the weekend as they have concerns about sending him to the Scottish champions after seeing Chelsea’s Charly Musonda get very little game time whilst on loan at Celtic Park last season. Wilson is still likely to go out on loan but he told Liverpoolfc.com that he wants to impress Klopp and stay in his plans. “I think my short-term focus is to keep trying to impress the manager day in, day out in training and, the minutes I get in pre-season, try and impress. [I want to] keep trying to score goals, [get] assists, help the team out and then I’m not looking too far beyond that. I feel if I do well enough here, everything else will take care of itself.
