Agent of Arsenal man discusses his future at the club

Agent of Arsenal man discusses his future at the club The agent of Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina has recently been discussing his client’s future plans. Arsenal recently completed the signing of Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen, indicating that Ospina will be forced only further down the goalkeeping pecking order at the club. Petr Cech is likely to act as Leno’s deputy for next season, meaning that Ospina will have to settle for being the third choice or seek an exit from Arsenal. According to his agent, as cited in a report by Goal, the latter option may well be the case, with Ospina ready to put an end to his tenure in North London. It’s believed that Argentine giants Boca Juniors have expressed an interest in signing the Colombian international from the Gunners this summer, but the player’s agent Lucas Jaramillo has insisted that the player would prefer to stay in Europe. “We had already considered the Boca option but it is not easy right now economically for a club like Boca to pay that much for a goalkeeper. He would like to come to Boca but it is not the time, we are focused on staying in Europe because he is relatively young.” Ospina is due back for pre-season training at Arsenal at a later date following his involvement in the World Cup with Colombia. “David has two more years left on his contract at Arsenal, he will have to go back now, there is a new coach, a new goalkeeper who has the coach’s confidence so this might be the end of the line.

Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina is being targeted by Boca Juniors. But Ospina is set to be the man to make way as he waits to return to pre-season following Colombia's World Cup quarter-final exit to England.

Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina could be set for a move away from the Emirates this summer, with Argentine side Boca Juniors targeting the Columbia international, the Mirror reports.

Ospina is valued at £6m by the Gunners, with Boca Juniors showing heavy interest in the player.

Ospina is set to find game time hard to come by at the Emirates this season after the Gunners completed the signing of Bayer Leverkusen shot stopper Bernd Leno.

The Columbia international still has two years left on his current deal in North London but Arsenal are said to be willing to let him leave the club this summer.

The battle for the No.1 spot is set to be a tight one between Leno and Petr Cech, who looks as though he will remain in North London for another season.

Newcastle hoping to beat Celtic and Liverpool to promising young goalkeeper

Newcastle hoping to beat Celtic and Liverpool to promising young goalkeeper Newcastle are hoping to beat Liverpool and Celtic to the signing of promising young goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu. Chronicle Live claims that the Magpies have kept close tabs on the Shamrock Rovers star, who has attracted a lot of interest recently. Liverpool have scouted the player heavily in the past, while Celtic also offered him a trial. Fellow Premier League rivals Brighton are also believed to have invited the player in for a trial. Bazunu’s development has not gone unnoticed as he became the youngest player to feature domestically for Shamrock Rovers. At the age of just 16, Bazunu is already impressing a first-team environment and is widely seen as one for the future. The Magpies are looking to bolster their U-23 side ahead of the new season and have deals lined up for several promising youngsters. While Bazunu is not a player that Rafa Benitez will be looking to use in the near future, it would be a huge coup if the Magpies could fend off other interest to secure a deal.

Ospina is yet to return to pre-season training with the rest of Unai Emery’s squad following Columbia’s World Cup defeat to England.

Ospina’s agent spoke of his player’s situation in North London earlier this week.

“David has had an excellent World Cup, it has been very important for him, it is not a lie for anyone to say that he finds himself uncomfortable in Arsenal”

“There are several clubs interested in David, but leaving Arsenal is not easy because they’re team that pays well and asks a lot for the player, and we must add that he has a contract for two more years.”

“The priority is Europe, but as I say, we have to wait.”
