Bonucci has endured a difficult tenure with Milan following his move from Juventus last summer and is also understood to be the club’s highest earner. This could prompt Milan to sanction the sale of Bonucci to a potential suitor like Chelsea this summer, as they continue to come under pressure regarding their compliance with the Financial Fair Play regulations. Bonucci has established himself as one of the world’s best central defenders in recent years but could be set to seek pastures new after a relatively unsuccessful spell with Milan. Chelsea do, however, appear to be on the verge of signing Daniele Rugani from Juventus, indicating that another central defender may not be on their agenda.

At the age of 25, El Shaarawy has never managed to fulfil his potential, with a lot expected of him from a young age at Milan. He impressed last season under Eusebio Di Francesco, scoring seven times in 25 league starts. The Italian international put in a glittering performance against Chelsea in the Champions League. He scored twice in Rome to help his side to a 3-0 victory during the group stages of the competition last season.
