Wijnaldum eyeing Liverpool exit Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum is considering an exit from the club this summer. According to The Mirror, Wijnaldum is eyeing up a move to Turkey, with Fenerbache interested in the Dutch international. The report claims that Wijnaldum is concerned by the arrivals of Fabinho and Naby Keita, who look set to oust him from the team. Fenerbache are interested in signing Wijnaldum, but will have to agree a fee with Liverpool first. The 27-year-old has reportedly been given the green light to make the switch to Fenerbache. He played 33 games for Liverpool in all competitions last season, managing one goal and two assists. The report also claims that Liverpool are not interested in signing Juventus forward Paulo Dybala. The club were previously thought to have been eyeing up a €90m for Dybala, but it is now being claimed that he is not on Jurgen Klopp’s transfer list this summer.

Gent winger Moses Simon has confirmed that Liverpool are interested in signing him but revealed that there has been no concrete bid from the Reds so far this summer.

The 23-year-old was reported to be a possible target for the Reds last month and when asked by AOI Football about Liverpool’s interest in him, the Nigerian star admitted that there was substance to the report but hinted that there had been no bid made.

He said:

“Well, for now, I’m still a player of KAA Gent; obviously, there was interest from Liverpool but nothing is concrete for now.”

Newcastle not interested in Premier League midfielder

Newcastle not interested in Premier League midfielder Newcastle are not interested in signing former Magpie midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, according to Newcastle Chronicle, despite rumour of a bid surfacing in Turkey. The Dutchman, who now plays for fellow Premier League side Liverpool, is wanted by Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce with his future at Anfield currently unclear, following the arrivals of Fabinho and Naby Keïta. With the Reds today completing a £13.5million for former Stoke man Xherdan Shaqiri, competition has got even fiercer, and Turkish outlet Takvim had claimed that Newcastle were interested in bringing the 27-year old back to St James’s Park. Wijnaldum left Tyneside in 2016 after the club were relegated to the Championship, with the midfielder not wanting to play in that division despite manager Rafa Benitez wanting to keep him. However it is understood that in this window Benitez is prioritising signing a striker, and is not currently exploring Wijnaldum as an option.

Chelsea exploring Alisson alternatives amid Liverpool interest .
It appears to be a two-horse race for Roma goalkeeper Alisson, with Liverpool and Chelsea battling it out for the shot-stopper’s signature. The Reds are understood to have submitted a world-record offer worth £62 million for the Brazilian international, but Chelsea are also believed to be keen on splashing the cash on the Roma star. Liverpool have had their sights set on Alisson for some time now and it seems they have made the goalkeeper their number one target for in between the sticks, as they look to replace Loris Karius in the starting line-up. Chelsea, however, don’t appear to be set on specifically signing Alisson. According to claims from Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol tonight, the club are making contingency plans ahead of Thibaut Courtois’ potential move to Real Madrid this summer. Chelsea also interested… (@SkyKaveh) Petr Cech, who could leave Arsenal, has been apparently lined up as an option whilst Leicester City star Kasper Schmeichel is mentioned as a target. Liverpool are likely to still have a battle on their hands for the signing of Alisson, but it seems Chelsea would not be against looking elsewhere for a replacement, should Courtois depart for Spain.
