Celtic ready to let Johnston join Hibs on loan as part of a deal for John McGinn

Celtic ready to let Johnston join Hibs on loan as part of a deal for John McGinn According to Daily Record’s Michael Gannon, Celtic are set to prepare another offer in the hope of bringing John McGinn to the Scottish champions for next season. Cletic have already launched two bids, worth £1.5 and £2 million but Hibs have rejected both as they don’t feel that the offers are worthy of the wingers’ services. Gannon reports that Celtic’s rising star Mikey Johnston could be loaned out to Hibs as part of a deal to bring McGinn to Parkhead. McGinn only has a year left on his contract so the likelihood is that he’ll leave this summer, but Hibs won’t sell him on the cheap. 19-year-old Johnson seems open to a loan move as a decent loan spell would allow him to prive himself at the top level. Johnston has already attracted interest from Scottish clubs such as Aberdeen and St Mirren but Celtic will be hopeful of sending him to Hibs as part of the deal to sign McGinn, as the Scottish international is clearly a player who Brendan Rodgers has his eye on.

PERSIMMON refused to rule out a takeover bid for a sector rival yesterday, as City speculation intensifies that weak market conditions will trigger a fresh round of consolidation in the housebuilding sector.

Celtic are hoping to tempt John McGinn away from Hibernian this summer. The Hoops had a £1.5m bid rejected this week but are plotting an improved offer. Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is also keen on signing the 23-year-old. Gerrard is preparing to ignite a rivalry with his former boss Brendan Rodgers .

Brendan Rodgers won’t rule out another bid for Hibernian’s John McGinn as Celtic step up their pursuit of the midfielder.

Neil Lennon confirmed on Wednesday that Hibs had rejected a second bid for McGinn, who has entered the final year of his deal.

However, according to the Daily Record, Brendan Rodgers reportedly is preparing a third bid for the midfielder, with Celtic keen to sign the Scottish international.

When asked about a potential third bid, Rodgers said via the Daily Record:

“I am distant from that, so time will tell.”

Celtic have bid rejected for Hibs' John McGinn

Celtic have bid rejected for Hibs' John McGinn Celtic have had a bid rejected by Hibernian for midfielder John McGinn. As revealed by Sky Sports, Celtic’s rumoured interest in McGinn now seems to be true as they aim to bring the Scot to Parkhead with just one year left on his current deal at Hibs. The 23-year-old showed the Celtic support his clear talent when he rattled in a brace at Celtic Park in a 2-2 draw last season. Hibs’ Chief Executive Leeanne Dempster previously admitted that it would be hard for the Edinburgh side to turn down a big money offer for McGinn who has made a total of 100 appearances since joining from St. Mirren in 2015. Despite their first approach being knocked back, it seems Celtic and Brendan Rodgers will be keen to add the aggressive and energetic McGinn to their ranks as a possible replacement for Stuart Armstrong who departed for Southampton last week.

Theresa May has refused to rule out giving US companies access to NHS contracts as part of a future trade deal with Donald Trump’s White House. Her clear refusal to do so underlines her weakness in trade negotiations and should concern us all.”

Donald Trump is refusing to rule out a third -party bid for The White House. When pressed on a potential third -party candidacy, Trump added: “I’m gonna have to see how I was treated [before making a decision].

“That’s something for the clubs to organise. I coach the team, I manage the team. We target players but ultimately any agreements have to be between the two clubs”

“We respect John is still very much a Hibs player and unless there’s an agreement… like I say, it’s going to be a difficult one. That’s really between the clubs.”

Despite English interest, Celtic are ready to be patient with a move for McGinn, with Celtic believing the player is keen on a move.

Rodgers praises his side after victory .
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers praised his side after they brushed aside Armenian champions Alashkert in their Champions League qualifying match last night, the Belfast Telegraph reports. Two late goals sealed a 3-0 win for Rodgers’ side in the first leg that took place yesterday evening in Yerevan. New addition Odsonne Edouard, who made his loan deal from Paris St Germain permanent, scored the opening goal in added time of the first half. The other two goals came late on in the game from James Forrest and Callum McGregor. Rodgers spoke of his side’s display and the late goals that sealed their victory. “It is a huge credit to the players and medical staff.” “We know we have a long way to go in terms of getting to full capacity but certainly at this stage, to show that hunger and desire to continue to work to the very end, it was a real winning difference.” “They kept pushing and kept working and they got their rewards. So it was a great credit to how hard they have worked fitness-wise.” “A clean sheet was important because as you start to tire in the game you can maybe lose a goal cheaply.” “But we didn’t do that, we concentrated well and scored three very good goals.” Celtic had to deal with the insane heat during the match, but Rodgers believes that the weather conditions will benefit his side in terms of fitness ahead of the new season. “It is breathless really. You sense it just standing in it. I thought they coped with it very well.” “They will really benefit from that game in terms of fitness and it sets us up well for the next leg.” “It is just a case of picking the team to win the game but also to get the players developing their fitness.
