Manuel Pellegrini could be looking to strengthen his attacking options this summer, especially following the news that Andy Carroll will miss at least three months action due to an ankle problem.

Defrel, though, is also being courted by Genoa, and West Ham will be faced with plenty of competition if they are to pursue a deal for the attacker.

Sevilla chief delivers update on Arsenal target's situation .
Sevilla director Joaquin Caparros has delivered an update on the future of Steven N’Zonzi, with Arsenal heavily linked with a swoop for the midfielder. As quoted by the Mirror, the Sevilla chief spoke out about N’Zonzi’s situation at the club and insisted that despite claims of an offer from Arsenal, the La Liga giants are yet to receive a concrete proposal from elsewhere. “We have not received any offers for him. I will say the same to any clubs who may be interested as what we said with (Clement) Lenglet – he has a buyout clause, and it’s £35m.” N’Zonzi has long been linked with a move to the Emirates and following the appointment of his former manager Unai Emery, it was believed that Arsenal would swoop for the player. However it seems, as of yet, there has not been any contact from Arsenal, with Emery understood to be keen on recruiting N’Zonzi. The experienced holding midfielder returned today from Russia after featuring sporadically for France as they managed to win the World Cup. N’Zonzi is believed to be keen on a summer exit from Sevilla but with no offers made, according to Caparros, it seems he will be forced to play the waiting game.
