Arsenal target reportedly favours Juventus switch

Arsenal target reportedly favours Juventus switch Arsenal target Aleksandr Golovin is reportedly keen to make a summer switch to Juventus. The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for the CSKA Moscow for some months now, but it seems they are trailing Juventus in the race to secure his services. It was initially believed that Chelsea had stolen a march on their competitors, with a £27 million deal in the offing to recruit Golovin following his impressive World Cup campaign with Russia this summer. However, according to fresh claims from Italy, the promising midfielder’s preferred destination is, in fact, Juventus. Golovin enjoyed a hugely promising season in his homeland of Russia with CSKA and was believed to have impressed Arsenal during the two-legged Europa League clash against the Gunners. However, with interest in the player having intensified, it seems the Gunners will miss out on Golovin, as Juventus and Chelsea lead the race. The news of Golovin’s preference regarding a move may not come as a huge blow for the player, however, with Arsenal having already strengthened their midfield options with the addition of Lucas Torreira this week.

Chelsea are leading the race to sign Aleksandr Golovin after Juventus reportedly pulled out of a deal for the Russian World Cup star. Sarri tried to sign Golovin on more than one occasion at Napoli and looks set to finally manage the player as both close in on moves to Stamford Bridge.

CSKA Moscow midfielder Aleksander Golovin reportedly favours a move to Juventus this summer, despite heavy interest from Chelsea and Arsenal.

While both the Blues and the Gunners have been keen on bringing in the 22-year old Russian this summer, it now appears he favours a move to Turin over London, according to Calciomercato who cite Tuttosport.

While reports in recent weeks have claimed Chelsea had been leading the chase for Golovin, now it appears the Blues will have to play keep up with Juventus firmly in front.

The Italian Serie A champions hold a significant advantage over the Premier League duo, namely that the Bianconeri will compete in the Champions League this season, which could well have weighed in on Golovin’s decision.

Vitesse have first option to sign Golovin on loan from Chelsea

Vitesse have first option to sign Golovin on loan from Chelsea Chelsea’s sister side Vitesse have been given first refusal to sign Aleksandr Golovin on loan this summer. Dutch outlet VI claims that the Eredivisie side could land the Russian international on loan if the Blues do not decide to keep him involved in the first-team squad. Previous reports have suggested that Chelsea envisage the player battling for a place in the first-team squad should he complete a £27 million move from CSKA Moscow. Golovin is being heavily tipped to join the Blues after impressing at the World Cup in Russia. The midfielder is someone the club have tracked for some time and Maurizio Sarri is a known admirer of the player. With that in mind, it is unlikely that the Blues will be looking to loan the player out this summer. Chelsea have reportedly agreed to pay CSKA their £27 million asking price, with Juventus no longer believed to be in the running for the player.

The £27million rated midfielder starred for Russia during this summer’s World Cup, where the host nation reached the quarter-finals of the tournament.

With Chelsea still undergoing a managerial changing process, and with no signings having been made yet, Golovin siding with Juventus could prove to be an untimely inconvenience for the Blues.

Chelsea to hold Higuain talks on Wednesday .
Chelsea will be holding talks with Gonzalo Higuain’s agent on Wednesday to discuss a summer deal. The London Evening Standard reports that Chelsea are due to speak to Nicolas Higuain, his brother, who also acts as his agent over a £53 million deal. A three-year deal is believed to be in place that would Higuain pocket around £127,000 a week. Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move for the Juventus striker, with the Old Lady preparing to sell the forward this summer. The former Real Madrid man is looking increasingly likely to leave the club following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo. The striker is one of Juventus’ biggest earners and they hope to recoup just over £50 million from a summer sale. A move for Higuain would cast further doubts over the future of Alvaro Morata, who is believed to be a target for several sides in Italy. Milan, Inter, Napoli and Juventus have all been touted as possible destinations for the Spaniard.
