Feyenoord reportedly set to complete Clasie deal

Feyenoord reportedly set to complete Clasie deal Feyenoord are expected to complete the re-signing of Jordy Clasie from Southampton, according to claims from Voetbal International. The Dutchman is set to be sold by Saints this summer and he recently expressed his desire to return to De Kuip as he looks to revitalise his career away from St Mary’s. Clasie spent the duration of last season on loan at Club Brugge, helping them to secure the Belgian Pro League title. However, it seems he is destined for a return to his homeland, with Eredivisie giants Feyenoord apparently set to allow Karim El Ahmadi to leave to free up space for Clasie’s return. The 27-year-old was taken by Mark Hughes to China for Saints’ pre-season preparations this month, but is still likely to be offloaded in the near future, it seems. Clasie joined Southampton for a fee believed to be in the region of £8 million back in 2015, as he linked up with former Feyenoord boss Ronald Koeman.

Jordy Clasie (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈjɔrdi ˈklaːzi]; born 27 June 1991) is a Dutch footballer who plays as a midfielder for Southampton, and for the Dutch national team.

Southampton’s valuation of Jordy Clasie is reportedly delaying Feyenoord ’s pursuit of the player. Feyenoord will reportedly seek an agreement with Saints regarding a loan deal, but it seems talks are currently at an impasse.

Feyenoord are continuing to push for the signing of Southampton midfielder Jordy Clasie, according to Dutch news outlet AD.

The Eredivisie outfit have been heavily linked with a swoop for their former player in recent weeks as they look to sign him as a replacement for Karim El Ahmadi.

Clasie has recently expressed his desire to return to De Kuip, where he enjoyed the most successful years of his career.

The Netherlands international spent last season out on loan following Saints’ acquisition of Mario Lemina. Clasie played a sporadic role for Club Brugge as they triumphed in the top-flight of Belgian football.

Feyenoord unwilling to cough up Saints' valuation of Clasie

Feyenoord unwilling to cough up Saints' valuation of Clasie Southampton’s valuation of Jordy Clasie is reportedly delaying Feyenoord’s pursuit of the player. According to claims from Dutch news outlet De Telegraaf, the Dutch giants are desperate to sign Clasie when Karim El Ahmadi completes his move to Saudi Arabia in the near future. However, it’s believed that Saints are looking to recoup the vast majority of the alleged sum of £13.2 million that they spent on signing Clasie in 2015. The Netherlands international spent the duration of last season on loan in Belgium and despite being a bit-part player, helped Club Brugge to the Pro League title. However, Clasie now has his heart set on one move and one move only, according to De Telegraaf, and that is to Feyenoord. During his spell with the club prior to the transfer to St Mary’s, Clasie established himself as a talismanic figure at De Kuip and wore the team’s captain’s armband. Feyenoord will reportedly seek an agreement with Saints regarding a loan deal, but it seems talks are currently at an impasse.

In return, the club restocked with players such as Jordy Clasie , Miquel Nelom, Guyon Fernandez and Kaj Ramsteijn In December 2006, Feyenoord director Chris Woerts announced that Feyenoord were developing plans to build a new stadium which would have a capacity of roughly 90,000 seats.

It’s reported that Saints want to recoup the large chunk of the £8m they spent on signing Clasie under Ronald Koeman, but whether or not Feyenoord will part with such a sum remains to be seen. Should Saints sell Clasie ?

It’s believed that Southampton would be willing to loan Clasie out for yet another season, but it’s been reported elsewhere that their preference would be to sell the midfielder, who has now been on the club’s books for three years.

AD indicate that Feyenoord are making significant efforts now to push a deal for Clasie over the line, with technical director Martin van Geel allegedly in talks with officials from Southampton.

Clasie has endured a stop-start tenure at St Mary’s following his move from Feyenoord in the summer of 2015, and it seems he is desperate to make his return to Dutch football.

Carrillo rejected Bordeaux to reunite with Pellegrino at Leganes .
Guido Carrillo turned down a loan move to Ligue 1 side Bordeaux to reunite with Mauricio Pellegrino at Leganes, according to a report from French news outlet Le 10 Sport. The striker’s temporary switch from Southampton to La Liga outfit Leganes was confirmed earlier today, with the Saints opting to move Carrillo on just months after they paid a club-record fee for him. Southampton paid AS Monaco a reported sum of £19 million for Carrillo in the January transfer window under the supervision of Pellegrino, but the forward failed to score a single goal. Pellegrino, who was sacked by Saints in March, was appointed as Leganes boss this summer and he has been active in the transfer market, with Carrillo being his latest signing. Le 10 Sport claim that Ligue 1 giants Bordeaux had made a swoop for Carrillo at the eleventh hour, but the former Estudiantes front-man opted to link up with Pellegrino for the third time in his career so far, with a fresh challenge in Spain awaiting him.
