The Yankees have acquired starting pitcher Lance Lynn from the Twins for prospects Luis Rijo and Tyler Austin.

Lynn, 31, has an abysmal 7-8 record with a 5.10 ERA this season in 102 1/3 innings pitched, but he's allowed three or fewer runs in 11 of his last 13 starts.

According to MLB insider Jon Heyman, the Yankees will pay half of what remains on Lynn's one-year deal worth $12 million, while the Twins will pay the other half.

Though Lynn has exclusively been a starter since 2012, the Yankees could throw him in the bullpen, especially during the postseason.
