Celtic will sign free agent defender Emile Legault before the transfer window closes, according to a report from Get French Football News.

The 18-year-old is a free agent after running down his deal at Auxerre and Celtic, sticking to their policy of recruiting young players, have offered him the chance to join up with the Scottish champions.

GFFN report that the Canadian will become the newest Celtic player once all of the relevent paperwork is submitted.

Whether the teenager will feature with the first-team or the club’s youth set up remains to be seen, although it is likely that he’ll go into the development squad at first as he ajusts to life as a Celtic player.

It was reported back in June that the defender had put pen to paper on a deal with Celtic but it appears that he was just on trial at the club, but he will offically become a Celt in the next few hours.

Dedryck Boyata close to making switch to Sevilla .
Celtic defender Dedryck Boyata is close to making £10m switch to Sevilla, according to a report from AS. The Belgian international is so keen to leave Celtic Park that he’s reportedly gone on strike and as such, he did not travel with the squad to Greece for the second leg of their Champions League qualifier with AEK Athens. According to AS, Sevilla think that they’ll be able to complete a deal for less than Celtic’s reported £10m asking fee. The 27-year-old only has one year remaining on his current deal with Celtic and if he continues to refuse to sign an extension, then this is the time where the club might be forced to sell him, rather than lose him for free in 12 months’ time. Celtic have made it known that they want £10m for Boyata, but Sevilla think that with his contract running down, they will be able to get him for cheaper than that.
