CHENNAI: A 32-year-old employee of Infosys was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a dormitory inside his office at Mahindra World City near Chennai, on Tuesday night. While police are yet to confirm the cause of death , the family suspected it to be murder.

Police broke open the door in the presence of her father Sharnappa on Thursday morning and found her hanging from the ceiling. Hebbal police sub inspector Thimmegowda said that the reason for her death is still to be known.

Quoting her parents, he said she had called her mother last Saturday, and she had sounded very upset. But they did not have any clue that she will end her life.

Sources in Infosys said after completing her training at the Infosys Training Institute, Meenakshi had joined at the same campus a few months ago. She had done her BE at GSSS College of Engineering and Technology in the city.

Police sources said they expect some leads once they start the investigation.
