  Interpol investigating man's remains that have been kept in an Irish morgue for five years Interpol are trying to establish the identity of the remains of a man which have been kept in an Irish morgue for five years. The international policing organisation is looking into the case after the remains have been at the mortuary at the University Hospital Limerick without being identified or claimed.The Limerick Leader reports that the remains belong to a male non-Irish national but his age and where the body was discovered haven't been disclosed.The remains of a woman have also been kept in the morgue since last August, but she hasn't been identified yet.

The Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed it was providing consular assistance to the man ’s family.

Police in Cambodia named the man who died in the guesthouse. A 34-year-old man from Northern Ireland has been found dead in a guesthouse in the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh.

It is believed the man died after collapsing in a restaurant in the capital city of Phnom Penh yesterday afternoon.

A spokesperson for the Department of Foreign Affairs said: “We are aware of the case and we are providing consular assistance to his family”.

People in the restaurant attempted to revive the man, but he is said to have been pronounced dead at the scene.
