The twisted killer of Irish nurse Karen Buckley has claimed that fellow inmates at Kilmarnock Prison have been urinating in his meals. Alexander Pacteau claims that other prisoners, sickened by his crime, are peeing , spitting and dropping hairs in his food .

Depraved murderer Alexander Pacteau has complained to prison bosses that other inmates are messing with his grub.

Fellow prisoners have peed in his soup and spat in his custard in an attempt to send a message to the hated killer - he claims.

The 22-year-old killer, who works in the cafeteria of the protection wing at Kilmarnock prison, has said that lags in the main jail are interfering with his dinner.

But another inmate said the claims were impossible.

Pacteau - who brutally murdered Irish student Karen Buckley after meeting her in a Glasgow nightclub - has complained to prison bosses at HMP Kilmarnock, who are said to be investigating.

Meals in the prison are cooked by inmates in the general population and then taken over to the special protection wing, which houses sex offenders and murders at risk from attack by the rest of the prison population.

A source inside the prison said that Pacteau had claimed people are urinating in soups and dropping hair in food.

Another lag told The Scottish Sun: "They'd have to tamper with loads of meals, because they couldn't target him specifically - they don't in advance which con any of their meals are going to."

But the company who oversees the meal making process has said that Pacteau's claims are false.

Serco Director Michael Guy said: "There was a complaint recently which was fully investigated but there was no evidence to support it."

Last year the killer was handed a tax payer funded role as a 'passman' inside the prison.

The €16-a-week job sees Pacteau serving food to his other inmates in the protected wing and cleaning up afterwards.

The role was handed to him just 16 months after he was given a life sentence for the murder of the Karen Buckley, who was just 24.

Pacteau has already been forced to flee one prison, after inmates threatened the killer.

He was moved from Schotts prison after it became clear that the other lags were planning an attacking him.

Pacteau killed the Co Cork native with a wrench after meeting her at a Glasgow nightclub in April 2015.

He then tried to hide his monstrous crime by dissolving her body in a vat of chemicals in his flat.

Pacteau pled guilty to Karen's murder and is serving a minimum 23-year sentence.
