  Tributes pour in for tragic young man killed in Dublin after car struck pedestrians Benjamin Renard, 24, passed away in Beaumont Hospital in Dublin following the collision on Adelaide Road in the city centre on August 22 .A silver Saab convertible car collided with four people at around 6.15pm, sparking a response from the emergency services.Mr Renard was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital with the driver and a woman.The Frenchman, who had been working for three years in Dublin at social media firm LinkedIn, was treated at St James’s Hospital and later transferred to Beaumont with serious head injuries.

Gardaí are investigating the incident which happened on the N28 Cork to Ringaskiddy Road at about 1pm today.

The driver of the tractor was uninjured. The body of the woman has been removed to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will take place

Traffic diversions are in place and forensic collision investigators are at the scene. Traffic approaching from Shannon Park roundabout is being diverted to Carrigaline and traffic from Ringaskiddy is being diverted to Rapheen.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Anglesea Street Garda Station on 021 452 20 00, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.

Tanker, dredger collide in Singapore waters, 5 crew missing .
An oil tanker and a dredger collided in Singapore waters Wednesday, capsizing the dredger and leaving five of its crew missing, authorities said. The dredger was left partially submerged and an underwater search and rescue operation was underway on the vessel, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore said. Seven of its crew members were rescued by the police coast guard and five were unaccounted for.
