"We fell apart when you left and now we have to restart."

The students go on to rap that they all "lost a bit of our souls" on the day Liam was murdered.

"I miss you more than I can say," the song continues.

"It wasn’t your time to be taken away. Taken away too soon which was a nightmare. Why did it have to happen?" the singer asks.

He then laid out details of all the couple's bank accounts and financial affairs to be found by whoever came into the house. He also placed all of Clodagh's jewellery neatly on the bed. Before he killed himself, he wrote a note and stuck it to the back door. "Don't come in. Call the gardaí," it said.

In an interview with the Irish Independent ahead of the first anniversary Clodagh's family said that the mum-of-three was clearly unaware of her husband's plan and had been innocently researching a family holiday online, according to the computer history.

They believe the walls were closing in on Hawe - that he was about to suffer a fall from grace.

Taken Away (A song for Liam)

We know we can’t see you and we’re not ok,

We all love you so much and this is hard to say,

So I’ll just rap it to the best of my ability,

We bought you a star but you deserved a galaxy,

You might be gone from our lives but never from our hearts,

We fell apart when you left and now we have to restart.

Can’t express in words so we’ll express it in a song,

You didn’t realise how great you love something until it’s gone.

People come and go but the memories stay,

And we all lost a bit of our souls that day.

We never saw you without a smile on your face,

In our minds and our hearts you will never be replaced.

I know I can’t see you now,

But we’ll live for the day,

You were taken away, you were taken away

You had so many times before you left.

So we miss you Liam, I’ll admit you left a dent in my life,

And I wish and remember the last time we talked and I remember to the time when you couldn’t walk.

Thinking of these memories just makes me laugh.

It’s hard to let go of the past but I’ll remember the good times always.

Your memory lives on until the end of all days. But your memory stays,

but your memory stays.

I know I can’t see you now,

But we’ll live for the day,

You were taken away, you were taken away.

I miss you more than I can say.

It wasn’t your time to be taken away.

Taken away too soon which was a nightmare. Why did it have to happen?

Just want to see you smile here.

Even if you cry, even if you laugh, want to see you one more time.

Unbelievable, you were unforgettable. Everybody misses you terrible.

We love you and we will always be inseparable.

Hopefully you’re watching over us from above.

Have to say it again,

But I miss you so much.
